About the Show

Pramface is a British comedy-drama television series created and written by Chris Reddy in which a girl from a middle class family gets drunk and sleeps with a working class boy, who also happens to be younger than her - and gets pregnant, before having to decide whether there are actually feelings there at all or not.

A heartwarming comedy following two unexpected and unlikely young parents-to-be as they try, and frequently fail, to negotiate family, sex and what happens once nine months is up...

Meet Jamie, 16, and Laura, 18. Two teenagers who after one too many drinks, some post-exam euphoria and an available bedroom, find they have one very big complication on their hands. Laura is pregnant. So even though they barely know each other, they now have one big thing in common. And it's getting bigger.

Kids are great, but not when you're just a kid yourself. Laura's meant to be heading off to university and Jamie is way too young to be considering raising a kid. And they're not helped by Laura and Jamie's irresponsible mates, who mean well, but aren't exactly cut out for this kind of advice.

With meddling parents, hormonally driven friends, first jobs, money and university all thrown into disarray by this unplanned pregnancy, it is going to be quite the nine-month marathon for these two entangled teens.

Pramface was written by Chris Reddy and is a Little Comet production for BBC Three. The BBC Executive Producer was Simon Wilson and the series producer for Little Comet was Lucy Robinson.
