Eva was a 24-hour telenovela channel which positioned itself as "the home of the very best in contemporary telenovelas from Latin America and around the world."
It was the second dedicated telenovela channel to debut in South Africa, after Telemundo in 2013.
The channel offered a mix of love, jealousy and betrayal in the shape of serial dramas featuring Latin stars and broadcasting 24 hours a day.
Eva was the tenth channel brand from the AMC Networks International portfolio in Africa, with CBS Reality, CBS Action, CBS Drama, AMC, Outdoor Channel, JimJam, Extreme Sports Channel, Odisseia and Natura.
At launch, series carried by the channel included Prisoner of Love (Amor Cautivo), a saga about three families; and The Perfect Woman (La Mujer Perfecta), the story of six women who do everything in their might to become "perfect".
Other telenovelas and soapies to have aired on the channel include Secret Love, The Neighbour, Just Looking, Betrayed Heart, My Three Daughters, Fallen Over Love, Light My Eyes, Celia Cruz, Taxxi, We Are Family, Anything But Plain, and Football Dreams.
Eva was discontinued on 22 March, 2021.
