At the weekend I had the trippiest dream that I can't stop thinking about... it's one of the most memorable dreams I've ever had so I have to share. (as one does with dreams.

)

I was in a building that must have had about 20 floors. I'd just finished a meeting and was leaving and walked to the lifts, which were very rundown. They had these huge, old buttons and didn't look as if they'd last the day.

Which they didn't because next thing there was this huge rumble - as if there was an earthquake and the building started to tilt. I could see the windows next to the lift and whole building starting to lean sideways, further and further.

I could see the ground, knew it was going to collapse, could feel myself collapsing with it but then... this was the brilliant part... I suddenly knew I was in dream so I it was this weird experience of feeling the freak-out of the collapse but knowing it was all cool.

I've been wondering if one's brain automatically tells you you're in a dream in such situations so that you don't freak out and lose it.
