Season 2

Kidnap and Ransom is a British thriller television series created by Patrick Harbinson and produced by Projector Pictures in partnership with talkbackTHAMES which revolves around the latest case for expert British hostage negotiator Dominic King.

The series aired in the UK on ITV from 13 January, 2011 to 8 March, 2012. There are six hour-long episodes in two seasons.

Kidnap and Ransom premiered in South Africa on DStv's BBC Entertainment channel on Monday 28 November 2011, at 21h00. See "Seasons" below for seasonal broadcast dates and times.

Season 2 premiered on BBC Entertainment on Friday 7 December 2012, at 20h05. New episodes broadcast weekly. There are three episodes in the second and final season.

Season 2

Trevor Eve returns as international hostage negotiator Dominic King in the second season of the gripping drama Kidnap and Ransom.

Helen Baxendale also reprises her role as Angela Beddoes, King's business partner, alongside Amara Karan as Carrie Heath and Natasha Little as Dominic's wife Sophie.

Guest starring in the new season is acclaimed star of stage and screen, Sharon Small, Madhur Mittal, Sean Gilder, Owen Teale and Kimberley Nixon.

In the new season, Dominic King is in Srinagar, Kashmir negotiating the release of the Mehtas, a British Asian family kidnapped while on holiday visiting their son Mahavir. As the handover is completed, the police arrive and a shoot-out ensues.

Dominic gets most of the family to safety but the kidnappers get away with Mahavir. In their panic they board a tourist bus, taking all those on board hostage...

Kidnap and Ransom is a talkbackTHAMES/Projector Pictures co-production for ITV1. Executive Producers are Trevor Eve, Jonathan Young and Rachel Gesua. The producer is Trevor Hopkins and the Director is Andy Wilson.
