Crimes Uncovered Large
How was Lucky Dube's murder solved? How did his family deal with their anguish? Why was Leigh Matthews murdered when her family paid a ransom? How did an "armed robbery" lead to the cold blooded killing of Taliep Petersen?

Questions that will be solved in an arresting new South African series Crimes Uncovered. The 13-episode exposé premieres on M-Net next Wednesday, 4 July at 21h30 and covers various real-life crimes that have gripped the nation. All of them have one key aspect in common: each case has resulted in the successful arrest and conviction of those who committed them.

The show uses a combination of dramatic re-enactments, narration and interviews to explore each horrific crime from the perspective of the victims and their families who share their traumatic experiences.

Each episode also includes interviews with officials from the SAPS who were involved in the various cases as well as advocates, lawyers, scientists and other experts who give their opinions on the investigations and resulting court cases.

Broadcaster Malcolm Gooding uses his Criminal Minds/ Strictly Come Dancing signature voice to string together the narrative.

The series has been produced for M-Net by Clive Morris Productions who've spent a decade and a half producing inserts for Carte Blanche i.e. they've proven that they have the patience to investigate. They've spent three years compiling and filming the show.

When the series premieres on Wednesday it does so in a spine-chilling atmosphere:  it debuts with the murders of Brett Goldin and Richard Bloom - on the same day that their attackers go to court in an attempt to get parole.

Here's a look at who each episode will cover:

Great show. We have needed sometime like this on TV in SA for a long time - finally! Just such a pity that Malcolm Gooding is the presenter and narrator. Uugh! His voice and accent makes we want to projectile vomit! Where does he get such a false accent from? I think he's the same guy that does that pathetic advert about the Lion named Christian kept in a London apartment in the 70's and then returned to Africa. What a load of &@#$£!!
