But he's actually looking for various ways to make easy money.

She's one of Elana's family members, described by the show as a delicate Namibian rosefrom Mariental.
Zandelle describes her character as a flat-on-the-earth, innocent and well-raised farm girl:
“Veroné is about to marry her school love, one of the farmers in town, and she is going to Cape Town for her wedding arrangements. But the city life and fast pace overwhelm her from the moment she sets foot in the Cape.
“Elana takes her under her wing while she deals with her wedding stuff. However, her time in Ruiterbosch becomes slightly extended when she crosses paths with Justin...”
