New National Geographic three-parter The Stanford Prison Experiment: Unlocking the Truth re-opens the 1950s Stanford Prison psychology experiment which put regular people into a mock prison as prisoners and wardens. Experiment had to be stopped on Day 6 because of the psychological abuse perpetrated on the "prisoners" by the "wardens". According to the new documentary, "We were never told the whole story of what happened in that "prison." Premiere date unconfirmed.

An intruder broke into SABC's Bloem studios at 04h00 on Sunday (16 January) but didn't steal anything. According to the SABC, he vandalised the building near the studios with graffiti that mentioned a bomb and was shot by a security guard after a confrontation. He was injured in the lower part of their body and admitted to Pelonomi hospital. Hawks investigating.
