Kim Raver is an American actress best known for her television roles as Kim Zambrano on Third Watch (1999-2005), as Audrey Raines on 24 (2004-2007) and as Nico Reilly on Lipstick Jungle, from 2008-2009.
She currently stars as Dr. Teddy Altman on the medical comedy-drama television series Grey's Anatomy, since 2009.
She was also a leading cast member of The Nine in 2006, a bank robbery drama that received rtave reviews but low ratings, leading to its cancellation after only six episodes had aired (13 were made in total).
From the ages of six to nine, she had a regular role on the seminal children's television series Sesame Street, from 1975-1978.
Her first adult on-screen role was a minor one in the 1994 made-for-TV movie Menendez: A Killing in Beverly Hills.
From then until 2002 she appeared exclusively in television shows: a three-episode recurring role as Deanne Landers in Central Park West (1995); guest appearances on Law & Order (1996), The Practice (1997) and Spin City (1997); and a role in the short-lived drama series Trinity, in 1998 (based on the made-for-TV movie of the same name, in the same year).
In 1999 she landed the major role of FDNY paramedic Kim Zambrano, appearing as a regular cast member in the first five seasons, as well as in the first and last episodes of Season 6, in 2005.
She played the same character in a crossover with medical drama ER, appearing in the 2002 episode entitled "Brothers and Sisters" (Season 8, Episode 19).
She made her feature film debut in the 2002 movie Martin & Orloff, and since then has appeared in Mind the Gap (2004), Keep Your Distance (2005), Night at the Museum (2006), and Prisoner (2007).
In 2004 she was cast as Jack Bauer's love interest (and Senior Policy Analyst for the Department of Defence) Audrey Raines in the 4th season of action series 24.
She appeared in all 24 episodes of the 4th season (as well as the season prequel), in 23 of the 24 episodes of Season 5, and also starred in the 6th season.
