Evan Davis is a British economist, journalist and radio and television presenter best known as the host of the reality television series Dragons' Den, since 2005.

In the UK he is also known as a presenter of the Radio 4 programmes Today and The Bottom Line.

Davis was appointed as the BBC's economics editor in October 2001. Prior to this he worked as a economics editor on BBC Two's Newsnight programme, from 1997-2001.

Davis joined the presenter team on Today in April 2008 following his six-and-a-half year stint as the BBC's economics editor.

Evan has won several awards including the Work Foundation's Broadcast Journalist of the Year award in 1998, 2001 and 2003, and the Harold Wincott Business Broadcaster of the Year award in 2002.

He studied philosophy, politics and economics at St John's College Oxford from 1981 to 1984 and obtained a Masters of Public Administration at the Kennedy School of Government at Harvard University.
