Bio

Huse Madhavji is a Canadian actor and television personality best known as the former face of Star! Canada's Entertainment Channel (2005-2007) and for his television roles as Dr. Shahir Hamza in Saving Hope and as Ruptal 1 in Call Me Fitz.

Born and raised in London, Ontario, Madhavji began his acting career on stage and in short films throughout high school and university.

After graduating from Ryerson University's Radio and Television Arts Program, he made the move from being an actor to host and has interviewed some of the world's best artists.

Madhavji started out hosting in Winnipeg where he covered the local scene as an entertainment anchor and reporter, before heading to Northern California where he was a feature reporter for UPN where he honed his live television and improv skills taking on any challenge that came his way including flying a plane live on the air, getting beat down by a K-9 and singing Sweet Caroline to Neil Diamond.

Madhavji retuned to Canada to co-host Star Daily for Star! hosting numerous live events including Star! Schmooze, Canada's New Years Eve Bash and Live! At The Genies.

Returning to his acting roots, Madhavji returned from touring with the success stage play 30 Dates, which played to packed houses in Vancouver, Montreal and Toronto. He can be seen in the police drama The Bridge, as well as The Border and the pilot Throwing Stones.

An avid singer/songwriter who has penned over 40 songs, Madhavji can also add screenwriter and a documentarian to his list of credits. His documentary entitled From Tragedy to Triumph on the Ugandan-Asian settlement in Canada made its way to Parliament Hill.

He can also be seen in Combat Hospital opposite Elias Koteas and Michelle Borth and he had a lead role in the feature film crime drama Cold Blooded, opposite Ryan Robbins and Zoie Palmer.

His birthday is 19 July.
