Bio

Boxer Baby Jake Matlala (1962 - 2013) was a South African boxing icon whose career spanned over thirty years.

He was a businessman, motivational speaker and also held a B Comm degree. In 2006 he appeared as a celebrity dancer in the reality competition Strictly Come Dancing on SABC2.

After retiring, Matlala struggled with money difficulties and suffered from complications with pneumonia.

He died on Saturday, 7 December 2013. He was 51.
