Bio

Orlando Jones is an American comedian and actor best known for being one of the original cast members of the sketch comedy series MADtv.

The South Carolina native, who made his feature film acting debut in Barry Levinson's acclaimed drama Liberty Heights, also starred opposite Laurence Fishburne in Biker Boyz, directed by Reggie Rock Bythewood.

Jones also commanded the screen in Charles Stone's Drumline, as the stern and disciplined band director at a Southern university who pushes a street drummer from Harlem to realise his potential.

Jones appeared opposite Guy Pearce in The Time Machine and as geology professor Harry Block in Iva. He was also seen opposite Robin Williams and Tea Leoni in House of D, for director David Duchovny.

Jones has starred in such films as The Replacements, with Gene Hackman and Keanu Reeves; the Harold Ramis-directed Bedazzled; Say It Isn't So, with Heather Graham, Chris Klein and Sally Field; the caper comedy Double Take, with Eddie Griffin; and the sleeper hit Office Space.

Jones got his start in entertainment as a writer for Roc Live and Sinbad. Not long thereafter, he made the jump to the other side of the camera as part of the original cast of the sketch-comedy series MADtv, on which he spent two seasons.

In 2006 he appeared as a regular cast member of the television series The Evidence, and in 2007 starred in the feature film Primeval.
