Oh dear, it’s the über-competitive alpha males. Sigh. They’re Eric and Jeremy, best friends who met while running track at community college. Aw, they have something in common with Ray and Yolanda. They describe themselves as very competitive and cocky. More sighing. I suppose they won’t bring out the old “People will underestimate us” chestnut at least and for that I should be thankful.
Jeremy is sarcastic, patient and well-travelled. He works as a valet and hopes the Race will help him make something of his life. What, does he think there’s a job interview at the end of it? Unless…unless dear old Jeremy is a budding actor/model/famewhore and thinks the TV exposure will help him in his acting/modeling/famewhoring career.
Eric meanwhile looks even smugger and more punchable than Jeremy. He is a waiter and bartender, which like Jeremy’s valet, is code for aspiring famewhore. He’s a pole-vault champ so he’ll breeze through the many pole-vaulting Roadblocks. He has thus far spared other cultures his smug face, having little experience traveling outside the US.
They believe that their physical abilities will carry them through to the one million bucks because they have nothing else to offer besides their muscles.
