Tinah Mnumzana is a South African poet and actress best known for her roles in soap operas including Generations and the roles of Florence in Isidingo and Constance in Scandal!.
She also has a starring role as Silindile Mahlangu in the SABC1 political thriller television series Ihawu le Sizwe.
Other television series she has acted in include Muvhango, Crossover, Natural Rhythms, Mtunzini.com, Nna Sajene Kokobela, Phamokate, Bophelo ke Semphego, Justice for All, Soul City, Dit Wat Stom Is, Erfsondes, Isidingo, Binneland, 7de Laan, Scandal!, Jozi-H, Noah's Ark, Zero Tolerance, ER, The No. 1 Ladies' Detective Agency and Feast of the Uninvited.
Her film credits include roles in Beat the Drum, Yesterday, There Are No Angels Here, Life Above All, Greener Grass, Price of Sugar, Mrs Mandela, State of Violence, Machine Gun Preacher and Dora's Peace.
Tinah's theatre credits are extensive and includes working on productions with directors such as Martin Koboekae, Jerry Mofokeng, Joyce Levinson, Arthur Molepo, Walter Chakela, Gerben Kamper, Selaelo Maredi, Owen de Jager, Danny Moleko and Mcedisi Shabangu.
Her theatre awards include a nomination for an FNB Vita Award for Best Supporting Actor for Maru and wins for The Diary and Dance Kopano.
Mnumzana is also a rape survivor, having been the victim of four rape attacks dating back to her childhood.
