Pearl's off the show and from the sounds of it, she's dodging a bullet.

American TV site TVline has broken the news that Pearl won't be reprising her role as Dayana for the new season of Quantico. Same thing with Yasmine Al Massri, whose character Nimah also won't be returning.

The show's going through an overhaul for Season 3 because of dodgy ratings for Season 2. Series creator Joshua Safran has stepped down as show runner and seems as if he's over the show.

In an interview with The Hollywood Reporter, he said, “My deal on the show was two years only, and it’s up.”

The series went through a phase of looking as if it would be cancelled - ABC rescheduled Season 2 from Sundays to Mondays in the US to try to improve the ratings but according to tvbythenumbers, it didn't work and was on the brink of cancellation.

ABC saved it though, ordered a reduced third season of 13 episodes instead of 22 and now they're making major changes to it.
