Synopsis
Since 2006, Tumi Morake has broken the male dominated status quo of local comedy, becoming a headline comic with blazing speed and an energy that doesn't bow to anyone or thing.
Comedy Central celebrates this comedy star with the first ever television broadcast of her one woman show HERStory.
This fearless, intelligent and highly articulate woman pulls off a flawless solo show that ended in a standing ovation at Gold Reef City's Lyric Theatre.
Join her as she takes a look at her journey so far from a sassy, single and racially curious girl to a more settled, sober and seriously insane woman.
Her ability to observe the strange workings of South Africa's contemporary social situation, as well as her own multicultural life and experiences of motherhood make for a brilliant commentary, against the backdrop of a beautifully staged production.
Raw, naughty, honest, unexpected and unapologetic, HERStory is hilarious and not for the faint-hearted!
