Wildfires spread through wild terrain like vegetation and trees and usually start by themselves, but these are spreading through neighbourhoods too and the cause hasn't been confirmed. Could be a person, electrical fault or fireworks that started them, in which case they aren't wildfires. Seems they're using "wild" to make headlines wilder.

According to Bruis magazine, she'd been living with her son and his wife in Observatory, Cape Town after her diagnosis in 2022, which is the last time we saw her on TV - in Legacy and Binnelanders.
