Spanish actor Javier Bardem plays the Robert De Niro role of Max Cady, a killer who stalks and torments the lawyer who put him in in prison after he's released. Based on the novel The Executioners. First made into a movie in 1962. Cady's crime is different in the series to the movies. >>

Hawston's an interesting place between Fisherhaven and Hermanus, with an Olympic-sized pool. Arendsvlei star Sherman Pharo (Thys) hails from the village. He's a fisherman by trade - started acting in 2003. Klubhuis premieres 13 December at 20h00 and Hawston headlines Episode 5.

Danie had the idea for 7de Laan in the mid-1980s when he’d have breakfast at an Oppiekoffie type shop in Melville where he’d watch people go by and wonder about their stories.
