Gospel Alive is a South African religious music programme and talk show created by Sarah G Thabethe, produced by Gabaza Productions and hosted by Khaya Mthethwa in which well known gospel stars visit the studio to lead praise and worship sessions, and field questions from viewers at home and in the studio about their personal lives and careers.
The series premiered on DStv's Mzansi Magic channel on Sunday 3 November 2013, at 19h00. New episodes broadcast weekly. There are 26 hour-long episodes in the series.
Synopsis
Every Sunday the Gospel Alive stage is set on Mzansi Magic for an electrifying praise and worship experience from some of the country's Gospel megastars including Rebecca Malope, Jabu Hlongwane, Keke and Sipho Makhabane.
Fans - both in studio and at home - get a chance to ask their favourite gospel musicians everything they have ever wanted to know, allowing viewers to tap into the artist's innermost details.
Created by Sarah G Thabethe and produced by Gabaza Productions, Gospel Alive is executive produced by Thabethe. Khaya Mthethwa is the musical director.
