People who feature in Rolling With Kelly Khumalo include:
Sarah Shongwe
35-year-old Sarah has been Kelly manager when she (Sarah) and her then husband offered Kelly a record deal in 2004. Their relationship has fallen apart and for years Sarah and Kelly were not on speaking terms.
After years of separation, Kelly and Sarah made amends and Kelly has rehired Sarah as her manager. Sarah is organised and keeps Kelly on the straight and narrow. Sarah lives with her family in Spruitview.
Zandi Khumalo
Zandi is Kelly's younger sister. This 24-year-old loves the good times, is fussy about details and wants the best of everything. Zandi hates trouble, yet ironically she spells trouble.
Kelly loves Zandi to bits and prefers not to disagree with her in public.
Percy Vilakazi
Percy knows Kelly in and out. He is the music director of Rhythm City and a freelance journalist. Percy is known as a flamboyant person who's not afraid to speak his mind. He always has Kelly's back and looks after her intergrity.
Nthombi Khumalo
Nthombi is Kelly's mother. She is a typical traditional mother and does not approve of discussing personal business in public. She is not comfortable in front of the camera and easily gets emotional, especially when she talks about old times or the hard times.
Sanele
A good friend of Kelly, Sanele is quiet and a thinker rather that a talker. She has a lot in common with Kelly and her sister, and is good for bouncing ideas off.
Nomsa
Also a friend of Kelly's, Nomsa is a good listener, honest and naïve.
Teboho (road manager)
Teboho managed Kelly when Sarah was booked off sick. He is also secretly in love with Kelly.
