Season 2
Created and written by Cris Cole, the bold, brilliant and occasionally bloody thriller – with moments of pitch-black comedy – sees the holiday from hell endured by Woody (Max Beesley), Quinn (Philip Glenister), Baxter (John Simm) and Rick (Marc Warren) go from bad to worse.
Much, much worse.
Beginning minutes after the dramatic climax of the last season, which saw Quinn alone and facing what seemed like certain death, Mad Dogs' trademark audacity is apparent as the boys take to the roads (and hills, and indeed clubs) of picturesque Majorca and beyond in a bid to outwit a sinister enemy, keep their ill-gotten gains, and – for one of the quartet at least – get the jaw-droppingly gorgeous girl.
Under a blazing Balearic sun, there are blazing rows, explosive spectacular stunts and, as befits a drama that's as much about male friendship and getting older as it is a darkly comic caper, moments of surprising tenderness.
Oh, and did we mention the dead goats?
Written by Cris Cole, this distinctly black comedy is produced by the BAFTA award-winning Left Bank Pictures.
