Season 2
The second season was won by 32-year-old Thapelo Mabusweni from Kimberley.
Kabelo Mabalane will begin the revolution as host of Mzansi Magic's reality series Kabelo's Bootcamp, which aims to help 10 contestants from across South Africa transform their lives for the better by shedding their excessive weight and personal demons.
Over the course of 11 weeks, five male and five female contestants compete against each other in varying physical and psychological challenges with the hope of losing the most weight and conquering their personal trials at the end.
The contestant who loses the least amount of weight and displays the least amount of determination after every week of challenges is eliminated.
Aided by a distinguished team of health and nutritional experts who make special appearances on the show, Kabelo cracks the whip to motivate and advise each contestant on how to get the best out of their Bootcamp experience, as well as take back control of their lives.
Kwaito star and Comrades Marathon medallist Kabelo, aka "Bouga Luv", assumes the role of series host and trainer as he puts the contestants through some gruelling and mentally challenging exercise regimes that help them face their personal life challenges with more conviction and courage.
In the end, only one will be crowned Boot Camp champion and stand in line to win prizes including a brand New Kia Rio.
To earn their boot camp stripes, contestants must be willing to work hard, consistently have a positive contribution in the Bootcamp and, more importantly, maintain a positive mental disposition towards losing weight and changing the status quo in their lives.
Kabelo's Bootcamp takes you on an emotional rollercoaster that is set to push all the participating contestants to breaking point, and then re-build them into warriors that are ready to face any challenge life happens to throw their way.
There are no comfort zones throughout this series as Kabelo and his troops get ready to push the boundaries of endurance, and in turn captivate the hearts of Mzansi with sheer blood, sweat and tears.
Produced by Connect TV, the series producer is Nonkululeko Raphata with executive producers Clifford Elk and Basetsana Kumalo. The series director is Ntuthuko Mtshali.
