Season 2
The township, or the "Kasi" as it has come to be affectionately known by its inhabitants, is an important backdrop to South Africa's history.
It has been home to some of South Africa's most influential citizens and continues to be a cradle where great minds, movers and shakers are born and bred in politics, the corporate world or in arts and culture.
From the famous streets of Soweto and Umlazi to more incognito places like Seshego and Galeshiwe, all have a story to tell.
Revamped in Season 2 (the focus in Season 1 was on kasi celebrities), the second season showcases and celebrates the diverse offerings of South African Kasis and their youth.
Investing in youth with "Kasi Pride", the new season travels to different parts of Mzansi meeting kasi achievers and experiencing its youth culture.
Experience the "Kasi Reimagined" through the eyes of these kasi achievers, who host the show's presenters as they plan and execute their creative visions eKasi.
In Season 2 the new hosts are Sthembiso "Sprkz" Dliwayo and Kamo Letsosa, replacing the Season 1 hosts Kabelo "KB" Moremi and Nicholas Pule Welch.
The first episode of the new season showcases Gugulethu in Cape Town via Thabiso, a budding young fashion designer from Cape Town who invites Sprkz to the launch of his new collection in Gugs.
