Season 2 Synopsis
Kay Mellor's impassioned drama, The Chase, returns to BBC Prime for an extended second season with more sexy, stormy stories from the Yorkshire-based veterinary practice.
The season kicks off just days after Anna has discovered her husband Tom's infidelity with her cousin, Fiona.
While Anna comes to terms with her new single status, her sister, Sarah, is getting it together with childhood sweetheart, local farmer Adrian Huby.
Joining The Chase are four new members of the cast.
Rebekah Manning and Christian Louis Cooke are Claudie's siblings, Paula and Liam.
Claudie and Paula set up a beauty parlour in the vets' staff room causing mayhem as the battle of pooches and pampering begins, whereas Liam's arrival from prison raises tension and eyebrows.
Philip Jackson is Fiona's estranged father, Frank, who brings a myriad of buried family secrets, and Adam Croasdell sets pulses racing as sexy Sebastian Montgomery, brother of farmer William and close friend of Adrian Huby.
Meanwhile the practice manager, Deborah, is devastated when her husband and senior vet, Rick's relationship with colleague Clare becomes public; Margaret continues her struggle to juggle her work, the nurses and the dreaded menopause; and Matt is distracted by a new romance.
