Ba Kae? is a youth entertainment series that focuses on the entertainers, artists and musicians who have played a crucial role in the liberation of this country and in shaping the entertainment industry.
As South Africa finds new cultural entertainment icons, there are various entertainers who shaped the entertainment industry in the past to make it what it is today.
This refers to famous musicians, actors and soccer players, and other, who appeared on our daily screens in those days. The show celebrates and acknowledge the contribution they have made in the entertainment industry.
The focus of the series is: Have we really changed or are we re-inventing the wheel?
The show profiles both past and present icons and provides them an opportunity to talk about their careers and what made them become icons.
Although the years before 1994 were challenging and difficult, there were some silver linings where people found time to laugh and play and really have a good time.
The series looks at what these icons meant to the older generation as well as the present generations. The show also focuses on their past and present experiences.
The setting has the icons relax, laugh and reminisce on what was. They look at their past and present experiences and the focus is on where we are, where we come from and where are we going.
