Season 4
Now in its fourth season, Late Nite News (LNN) with Loyiso Gola offers even more entertaining reports combined with sharp and satirical reports from South Africa and abroad.
LNN news anchor, Loyiso Gola is once again joined by David Kibuuka, the reluctant foreign correspondent who generally hates his assignments, loathes the country he has been sent to and complains about being underpaid.
Also part of this season's cast is Chester Missing who is widely considered to be one of the most annoying and tempestuous puppets to offer political commentary in South Africa.
LNN will also be introducing some exciting new acts throughout Season 4 to showcase the growth of satirical comedy in South Africa.
The show has a format based loosely on international spoof and parody news shows, which LNN has customised and personalised to cater to local audiences, drawing in viewers from all demographic spheres.
Loyiso Gola, the face of LNN, has been bringing humour to South Africans with his banter and wit for years. His award-winning performances have also graced international stages in London, Dubai and New York and have carved his reputation as an opinionated, observant and honest voice of comedy.
Gola has a string of awards and a history of successful TV shows in his stable, and he is set to take LNN to new heights.
"This season on Late Nite News we promise no one is safe from our roving eyes – from politicians, to CEO's and criminal masterminds - anyone who has the misfortune of ending up in the news... the LNN team will bring the truth to you," assures Gola.
