Season 5
NCIS: New Orleans (Naval Criminal Investigative Service: New Orleans) is an American police procedural television series created by Gary Glasberg as the second spin-off of NCIS (the first being NCIS: Los Angeles) which handles cases from the Mississippi River to the Texas Panhandle to ensure the safety of the once hurricane stricken Crescent City.
The series is a drama about the local field office that investigates criminal cases affecting military personnel in the Big Easy, a city known for its music, entertainment and decadence.
Leading the team is Special Agent Dwayne Pride (Scott Bakula), aka "King," a native of NOLA who is driven by his need to do what is right.
Working with Pride is Special Agent Christopher LaSalle (Lucas Black), who plays hard but works harder.
Supporting them is coroner Dr. Loretta Wade (CCH Pounder), who is as eccentric as she is smart.
This colourful city that harbours a dark side is a magnet for service personnel on leave, and when overindulgence is followed by trouble, Pride's team is at its best.
In the Season 5 premiere, "See You Soon": While Pride fights for his life in the ICU, the team scours the city for the hit woman who attempted to assassinate him at the end of last season.
Gary Glasberg (NCIS), Mark Harmon (NCIS) and Martha Haight are the executive producers for CBS Television Studios.
