Season 7
The reality dating show The Bachelor is back for a seventh season and features a new lonesome bachelor going in search of the woman of his dreams.
This season, the show takes place in New York City, which is also the new bachelor's hometown. Charlie O’Connell is the man looking for love - he’s a 29 year old actor and real estate investor who describes himself as a fun-loving "good guy."
He’s cherished his carefree bachelor lifestyle up until now and he’s hoping that one of the 25 bachelorettes can inspire him to settle down and tie the knot.
New twists to the season include spot eliminations and rose ceremonies during the episode – Charlie can eliminate any bachelorette at any point in the episode and can also give any of them a rose whenever he chooses.
The season begins by introducing Charlie to the twenty-five women who barely have a chance to get settled in their rooms at the Roosevelt Hotel. Thinking they have a day to prepare for the start of the show, the ladies are ambushed and told that they'll meet the undisclosed bachelor in just five minutes.
A rapid dating session ensues where Charlie spends a few minutes with each woman. During the rapid dating, Charlie hands out two roses to those women who have impressed him the most. But then host Chris Harrison surprises him with the news that he will have to immediately eliminate five women.
After the 20 remaining ladies move into their loft in Tribeca, Charlie makes three group dates. The stakes are raised, the competition gets fierce and the ladies fight to be noticed.
As the series progresses Charlie narrows his search down to 15, 10 and then five potential wives, until he eventually decides on a final one.
