Mark: Right now 14 South Africans are begining an adventure of a lifetime. They think they are off to a media briefing, but their pilots have been instructed to make an emergency landing just off the coast of Panama.

Sanele: Here come Mark our host, very important character, the voice, the look. That's when we realised this is no longer a game it's actually happening.

Vanessa: We weren't prepared for the game starting, we thought we would have a couple of days, especially a couple more meals.

Nico: The minute that plane landed I knew we were not going back home. I think the journey had begun and the whole game had become a reality.

Mark: Welcome Survivors to Panama. I know you are tired, you're a very long way from home. So I'm going to put you out of your misery and let you know that the game has begun.

Mark: First things first, I need all your valubales. Take them off and put them in this bag. You guys are hoarders, I'm going to need a bigger bag.

Don: What's against me is my age, I don't want people to assume that I'm old therefore I'm weak. I tend to be quite forceful in what I do. I'm a Capricorn so I'm quite ambitious. I want to keep my eye on the ball, I'm there to win the game.

Sam: So in any kind of physical challenge you will see me there first and foremost and I will pick the biggest guy on the other side first. So if you are looking for an encounter or challenge watch this space. It's gonna happen.

Zayn: I'm a pretty regular guy, just with big opinions. The biggest challenge for me on the island wil be missing my mom's cooking. As you can see I'm not the smallest guy and I have my 3 meals a day. So I'm going to miss the chow.

Ncumisa: I call a spade a spade. So discretion isn't one of my strengths so I might rub some people up the wrong way.

Nico: Friends they come and go. If you want a friend, buy a dog. I most certainly am not going to try and make friends on the island.

Mzi: Next thing you see the guys are picking up flags, they are takin axes out of actually the fire stations. I think those guys are unhappy right now. We took half their stuff.

Nico: We were looking for some Pearl Island or Black Pearl of Mothers Pearl, anyway something to do with some Island.

Nico: The blond guy he came out to help even though they were still taggin behind.

Mci: Sam actually went back and guided him, Gareth sort of lent a hand.

Zayn: Unfortunately in this game as the cliche goes, fire is life and we haven't been able to make any fire yet.

Lezel: I think that the guys we have on our team are really quite respectful and they you know just nice guys to have aorund and I think they like having 4 chicks around also. I know Zayn does.

Zayn: I think from my side we have the most beautiful girls on Survivor. I can't wait to get back home and to boast with all my friends.

Danielle: I could have a Nando's burger.
Jacinda: Only day one.

Nico: I would say Sam would be the most outspoken and dominant member. Although he tries and tends to do too much and say too much. I think he is biting off more then he can chew. He should save some for down the line.

Sam: Mzi was fishing today. Mzi wasn't fishing today. Mzi stood in one position for hours thinking he was fishing. He claims he had big bites, but no there were no bites.

Mzi: I haven't lost any weight so far. So far so good.

Lezel: What I've realised in htis game, that people are very indecisive. I'm very decisive for me things are very clear.

Jacinda: The reason why I think Danielle doesn't have tribal loyalty is her absolute disappointed face when her buff was pulled out of the bag and she was realising she was going with us and not the other team.

Danielle: When someone doesn't trust me, I don't want to be around them.

Jacinda: We know who's going. We know who's going  and it is the right decision to cut out the cancer of the tribe.

Gareth: The game is so much harder hen I though it would ever be.
Danielle: I don't like this game.

Don: The other guys look to be in very good shape. I'm actually  feeling more like a weak link today.

Jude: Mzi managed to get 3 fishes today. We were over the moon when we saw those fishes, it was like steaks.

Jacinda: If you look at the camp it looks a bit dingy.

Ncumisa: Don I know you're not feeling well, but I was wondering maybe you could help me unwind the rope, while sitting exactly where you are sitting or is that going to be strenuous.
Don: Alright, can I finish this? (while cutting his finger nails)
Ncuimisa: Not the big rope, the small one.
Don: Sure.

Gareth: Despite the fact that we told Danielle she was being voted off. Despite the fact that we told her we were insecure with her participation with the other tribe. She has worked all day for a shelter that she almost 100 percent was not going to have that night. To me that speaks bounds about a persons character and at the end of the day, it is about character and not how strong you are.

Ncumisa: I'm hoping Don's having a bad day and will pick up strong tomorrow.
