Episode 12 (no title this week)
As usual, the last two hours of TAR8 were aired in a single night in the US, which means they were given only one title, which applies to the second hour; so there is no Titleist this week.
Unlike every past two-hour finale, however, there is no official or unofficial pitstop, not even a brief appearance by Phil, to divide the two legs (which nevertheless each have a Detour and Roadblock). It's essentially one long leg.
This means that I'm again uncertain where SABC3 will divide the two hours of the program. That means that some of the bonus question quotes below may (and probably are) not spoken until next week. Those questions won't be scored until next week.
Also, since at least two teams come close together on at least a few occasions around the middle of those two hours, it may not even be possible to declare one of them First or Last, so those two questions might not be scored. We'll see what happens after the episode airs.
Finally, the teams are clearly given a lot of money at the start of this leg, but we're never told how much. Since they weren't given any money last week, and they won't be given any more next week, we have no choice other than not to score last week's Money Delayed Bonus question. Sorry about that!
The good news is that now that we're down to the end, the race planners have woken up a bit, and the locations and tasks of these last two hours are a bit more interesting than those of the last few episodes (certainly more than finding balls on a golf course!).

Happy thumbsucking! If you would like to get email reminders for the last few episodes, please email "fingolfin at tvsa dot co dot za" with "TAR Mailing List" somewhere in your email. I'll keep these names for the next league as well. All email addresses will be BCC'd so no one else will see them. (If you gave me your name for the Survivor Prediction League, you will need to resend your request to me as this is a new list).
