Festive is finally over. THANKS GOD. Things were very hectic ko ekasie as they always are every December. I did not have enough time to watch tv as a lot was happening around me. I tried to catch some interesting ads, but failed dismally. The only ads I saw were from Ackerman, Jet, Foshini, Lubners, Ellerines, Bradlows, bafetho,I swear all these stores were targeting black people. Phela rona bondakie(we black people) still assign to that culture of buying our kids Xmas clothes, especially blacks in the townships, ko kasie! We also buys sound systems, fridges, braai stands, cooler boxes and champ chairs ka December. Champ chairs used to be things for whites because they like camping, phela rona bondakie we don’t go camping!! Hell no!! If you wanna know why I’ll tell ya: We hate them bugs, we them reptiles and we sure hate them wild animals, yee I said it, we HATE THEM, we’re not scared of them, we just don’t like them, unlike our white brothers and sisters, phela when they see this gogakies they go like, oh isn’t it cute!!’ CUTE!!!! HAIBO.
Back to my real issue, you see many people except arme government skepsels like me, get their bonuses ka December. I don’t know about white people but I know gore bo dankie we go wild around festive season. Phela people don’t cook at home anymore, go jewa take aways or chisa nyama (braai vleis).Brothers ko kasie buy cars, when I say cars I mean used cars to the value of at least R20 000,top on the least are Gusheshe and Golf. OK ya, some will take their bonus and deposit Velocity, Citi. com or Kentucky Rounder! Phela majita want cars they car pimp. Phela car dealers are also promising huge discounts and late installments payments. BUY YOUR CAR NOW AND ONLY PAY YOUR FIRST INSTALMENT ON MARCH!! We then fall for that.
Now ke January and which ads are on my screen?!! School uniform, Stationery!! Why are advertisers not advertising these things around December!! But better still why are we not breaking this culture, I know some darkies have but a hell lot are still grooving with all the money in December and struggling ka January!!! Eish bagaetsho, let’s wise up!! Let’s stop going to bomachonisa (loan sharks) ka January!!! Right now some do not have money for school registration let alone money for stationery mara ka December the very same people were leaving large, they bought crickets(as we call them ko kasie) to the value of more that R200.00.Who is to blame for this kind of behavior, are we going to blame it all on apartheid>ppppllllleeeeeaaaass!! That is so 1994!I’m not trying to pull down on my peeps but I’m just saying enough already, let us not let advertisers run our house holds, we all know that the month after December is January.
So guys how is January treating you??????
