While watching the first episode of Society, a friend made this remark:
"Why are successful career-oriented women almost always portrayed as lonely? Do the producers want our kids to have no ambitions of being successful? Does that mean we should be satisfied with mediocrity?"
If you didn't watch, this is how I perceived the role of Akua.
Akua comes off as a successful career woman with a fabulously chic house and a beautiful 21 year old varsity student as a boyfriend. No friends, just colleagues.
So my question is: Is this the truth about success?
