Oh My Goodness!! Did anyone catch today’s episode of Backstage? Yes, yes, yes, I know I said I wasn’t gonna watch but circumstances forced me to watch.
After being embarrassed by Mara Louw’s shameless flirting with DJ Fresh on Mara & friends
(y’all know Mara likes them nice and young), I tuned in to SABC 3, hoping to catch Isidingo but there was cricket so I found myself on ETV &
Emva kwe Stage (EKS) was playing.
I thought,
“Oh, okay, maybe I’ll spot Howza, let me watch.” Spot him, I definitely did!! Now before
Tshepo Mosese came along, I never had the time to even bother trying to watch that mess but thanks to him I’ve tuned in 3 times already this year and that is more times than I have watched the show in more than 2 years.
*sounding bitter & sarcastic.* So when you were all out in your blinding red outfits, eating fattening chocolates & sipping cheap champagne for Valentine, I was at home being serenaded by Howza.
I couldn’t stop screaming and really, apologies to the neighbours for my teenage behaviour.
The Boy Can f*****g sing!! I couldn’t believe it. He was singing Lionel Richie’s Three Times A Lady at Dukes,
(or whatever the club is called these days) and I was amazed at finding out that he can sing!
He ain't no Usher but damn, he can teach our own Danny K a thing or two about holding a note. I admit it was a bit shaky in the beginning but once he got going, it was "wow" after "wow"!
Why the hell has that boy been living under Kabelo’s shadow with such talent? How does he do a full Kwaito album with Blackjack and not have the urge to sing on at least one of the songs? How?
If you love Kwaito, then you should grab this album!
Ok, if you don’t know anything about this boy it would give me great pleasure to break it down for you, can I? Thanks.

Number 9: He sings RnB!
Number 10: He's on TV 6 days a week!
Okay, tell me you don't want all of that in your man?? He was in the Sunday Times Magazine a couple of weeks ago and he said the one thing that would improve his life is getting a car coz he was tired of riding taxis. I remember reading that and thinking " Oh dear, If I were those taxis, I wouldn't mind him riding me all the time."
Mmh, Ok, that didn't sound right. What I actually meant to say is that I would offer to drive him around anytime.
As for him being 23, well, all I will say to him is "welcome to the entertainment industry!"
Could Thabo Mosese aka Howza aka Chase be the one to save Backstage aka EKS from dying? Could he be the one to resurrect the show and get young people watching again?
Have you seen him in Emva Kwe Stage and witnessed the talent he possesses?
Well, I have and I think he's one of the best things to ever happen to the show so well done to the casting guys for bringing him to EKS.
So as the ratings get higher and higher, remember to give Howza a raise coz so far, he's the only EKS actor to get the Blogiwood Stamp of Approval, you dig?
P.S. If you're as Howza crazy as I am then check out this interview I stumbled on.
