spicing up our viewing plesure with theseproposed programms

I hope those guys who prepare commissioning briefs are watching, and I will check the SABC website..hi hi hi

Horror, a locally produced horror drama in vain of Lesilo-with improved acting, quality and an exciting and scary plot/s, and some scary special effects -if we have them in SA..forget about that cleo sangoma drama, that’s not horror its just reality that some viewers were squeamish about because of their obsession with modernity, being a Sangoma is not a scary phenomena like it was portrayed

Traditional, historical drama, like INgqumbo yeminyanya typa story, where there’ll be costumes and other traditional scenes, with a romantic story and lots of drama, could be completely in Zulu or Xhosa or Sotho or whatever language chosen

An exciting entertainment show with lottsa talent search, comedy, gossip, competition ect which will compete with RGB, LIVE Selimathunzi, JamAlley, and be an all-in one type show. similar to Saturday Night Live (i know we are copycats, but we can do it Mzansi style) instead of having all these mediocre showbuzz reporting shows…people like Sbu (and bring back V-mash)- can do the presenting. even Phat Joe can be forgiven to come back and have a slot there…it could be called HOT STUFF on Friday night…it should be shocking, challenging expose’ type, and would have the type of audience you find in these blogs like abo-Beyonce and Toxic, and Lavhee to challenge the guests ect….

We could also do with a decent comedy without Sdumo or some of these actors being recycled in local comedies….SABC could commission a production house to receive scripts and select the best comedy amongst them

An adventures drama, with different plots, and different settings all over Mzansi, whihc could showcase some of the beautiful areas we have, while keeping us in suspense with drama etc.

I think the BEE, sexuality, aids, survival  stories are ok but we need escapist fluffy, entertaining, different, absurd and shocking , and some totaly unimaginable science fiction stuff, to forget the normal and be blown away for a change, please I beg you up-and coming directors and storywriters, do something

So whadaya think !!!!!!!!!!

i was thinking about this the other day and besengikhohliwe which blog it was, sabc neva really makes an effort to bring something exciting instead of usindiso (no offense to the fans) they could have created a SA horror film as you mentioned up there Spo, instead of bringing shows like Nomzamo (which i aint feeling this season) they can try a new comedy, i dont watch font on sabc 3, but i was thinking at least that's new.

i would also like to see law dramas, same as law and order but SA style, with proper lawyers.

@ madenza, i also dont understand why coz we've got good actors, imagine Kenny being a murderer and all, then there is this tough ass lawyer, i dont know who, who defends him and ends up falling for him, something like that nje. how difficult can it be, i guess im just mad coz i love those law things and i can only watch it one a week.

And what about a series about glamourous older women with everything in life except men- ala Sex in the City- Desperate Housewives- but Mzansi style? These women could all come from different backgrounds; White, Asian, Black and Colored- all the colors of the South African rainbow? I would sure like to see what goes on on that lane!!!!!!!!!:)
