I couldn’t watch Isidingo again during the week, I caught the omnibus. I’ll have a valid excuse as of next week now that I’m going back to school (shoo I’ve really enjoyed my time off). I’ll only be able to catch Isidingo on Sundays. I have to say that I struggled to keep my eyes opened. Eish the writers better pull up their socks. I think I’ll switch to Rhythm City until something better comes along. Isidingo better watch out, coz RC might just give them a run for their money. Let me try my best to recap the episodes aired between 16 and 20th July.

I know the Bus is late; I just had to let someone have her shine. I wont mention names because I might just get a letter in my postbox… hi hi hi

Gugu's man!

Georgie seems to be really in love with his new girlfriend Gugu. I forgot to mention the fact that Goodwill the Ginsta threatened to hurt Gugu to get back at Georgie. So many G’s. Gugu organized a holiday for her and the man in her life. After confirming reservations, Georgie cancelled and told her to go on her own as he has business to take care of. Is he crazy…? If my man had to cancel a holiday I had planned for the two of us, I’d get really angry. I also noticed that Papa G is 100% back eKasi. Has he already sold his ON! Building? Where is the ON staff hanging out now?? He even had lunch with Gugu at The Rec. Seemed like Gugu went to that holiday alone after all, because this was her only scene (not complaining). Her man lied to her that he’s putting all the beef between him and Goodwill behind.

kanti Y does Channel O play the same song in the same order on their Lurv Jams - KCI & Jojo and Sade are not the only artist who sing bout Lahv?? Hawu guys! Can I have a job? I know alot of Lurv songs... we'll call Lahv Tunes!! anyway...

Goodwill (what a name for a bad character) is planning to kill Georgie and get rid of the body.

Maggie the Neighbourhood watcher

Maggie is keeping off the booze by being part of the neighbourhood watch. She’s doing so well that she and her team mates were able to arrest one person. It was until Capt. Niemand came to see Maggie. She obviously thought he was there to thank and congratulate her on the arrest. But he was there to tell Maggie that Public Urination does not count as a serious crime. Capt. Niemand embarrassed Maggie in front of Paul and Len and you know how those two (esp. Len) can go on. Speaking of Len, where the hell is Lolly??

I guess the neighbourhood watch is keeping her busy that she forgot about looking for her hijackers. I’m saying this because Slu and Bafana went to The Rec and she served them. She didn’t even recognize their voices. Hawu Maggie you missed your hijackers again.

Slu the Rat!!

Since the last time, Georgie hired a PI who was quick to tell him that Slu was telling the other team (Goodwill) what he was up to. Since Georgie is ‘n clever van Kofifi. He was quick to give Slu a beat down for being ‘n pimpi, after Slu confessed that is! It is because of this that Georgie decided to take Slu to the cops (and by cops I mean Capt. Niemand). Slu is supposed to get Goodwill to say some intimidating stuff to get him behind bars.

So the day came when Slu was given an iPod look-a-like gadget so the cops can hear the conversation between him and Goodwill. Slu started panicking and asking questions about how he can get money quick and if they have a job for him to do. Goodwill was getting suspicious, Slu panicked and left.

Day 2 Slu asks the same questions hoping that Goodwill will say something incriminating. Goodwill called Bafana (his sidekick) to the side and told him that he thinks Slu is wired. Bafana then called Slu to a private room and tore his shirt off and searched him. I breathed a sigh of relief when the wire was not found - coz he was a dead man.hhmm on second thought, I wished they found it on him. It was found by some other guy who didn’t even know what he was picking up. Reminded me of a friend who told me some guy tried to sell her a mouse, when she asked what it was for, he just said.. “haa sisi, awazi??”  (dont you know??) yaah brada!! more like you don’t know what you stole!

At the end of the day, Slu was so scared to get wired. He convinved Bafana that they should get rid of their bosses (the 2 G's Georgie & Goodwill) because they get richer because of the dirty work that they (Slu & Bafana) do for them.

Barker and the Sewing ladies

Barker really took interest in the Sewing circle ladies. At some point I wasn’t sure if he was being sincere or just taking the ladies for a ride. But he seemed really genuine. First lesson he gave the ladies was dealing with the competition. He told them the only way to be ahead of the competition is to under cut competitors by decreasing the prices. The ladies really warmed up to him, looking up to Barker like a real mentor.

Barker got the hang of things he just saw the dollar signs and got an idea of running seminars at a price. Charging people R10 000 per session to help turning a failing company into a stock market winner. That’s the spirit Barker!

The sewing ladies were so impressed with Barker they looked like kids in a candy store, eyes wide opened, clinging to every word that came out Barker’s mouth. Barker even went as far as drawing them a business plan. All I kept thinking was “Yoh, labomama bayaphapha” but then again I've seen women act childish, and I wonder if my friends and I will ever grow up and be serious...chances are we wont...hi hi hi... we'll always be a crazy bunch...

It got to the point where Mrs. Goody 2shoes Agnes didn’t like the terms Barker used. Terms like Screw the supplier, know the enemy and being at war with your competitor. The other women just got hyped up especially when Barker told them that he’s getting them on the stock market!! The poor women were screaming like those kids on Takalani Sesame. On some “yeeeeeyyyyyyyyyyy!!!” waving their hands in the air. huuwiieee!!

Ok let me cut this story short. Mrs. Cele the leader of the pack gave Orlando a presentation on potential business for the Duncan Hotel. The women won the contract to sew stuff for the hotel. Then Mrs. Cele bumped into some boy who threatened to burn her house if she doesn’t withdraw from the contract, because his mother was already hoping she will get the contract. Ma’Agnes ran to Lee and told her and Lee did the noble thing by giving the contract to the other group. Barker was not happy of course, he felt all that time and energy he put in those ladies was a complete waste of time.

Q-ramid Schemes

Q is still up to whatever!! He asked the Matabanes to sign some letter of intent to show they are supporting his so called investment. Q took this letter and used it at the meeting he has with his “investors” and told them that Ma’Agnes supports this idea. Sigh… the Matabanes are scammed again. When is this going to end? When the oldies heard that Ma’Agnes is in, they all came forward and gave him money.

Apparently R190 000 was invested in cheques , Q phoned the bank to find out when the money will clear, when he heard 10 days he asked if there wasn’t a fee he can pay to clear it quicker. The cheque would clear in 3 days; he then immediately phoned a traveling agency to book a 1 way ticket to Milan to leave on Friday.

The Matabanes asked Q how the meeting with the investors went; he lied and told them that he only met with 1 investor and only gave him the idea and that the investor will get back to him in a few days.

Primi is still waiting for his modeling contact from Q. Because he didn’t have a contact he volunteered to take the photos for the portfolio himself and that is one promise he kept.

Paul was suspicious of what Q is up to and kept on asking him questions. Q told him he has an international investor (hawu!!?). Paul then called Siyanda and gave her the handout Q has been giving out which proved that Q was lying about the international investor.

An old woman came to The Rec looking for Manqoba about an investment she made with him. Ma’Agnes looked confused but didn’t put 2 and 2 together. It was Primi who did. It was at that moment that Q walked in. The poor woman was asking for half of the R6000 she invested because her niece died and she needs the money to help her sister bury her daughter. I don’t know if Q gave the woman her money or not, but Primi was on to him. He begged her to keep quiet or he’ll cancel the model contact. He also told her that he wants to surprise the Matabanes and his sister that he can make his first million. Later that evening he called the bank to check his balance, it was now R 205 375. The next day he got his ticket and told Primi that he was going to Durban for another investor presentation. He threw away the envelope (which the ticket came in) in the bin and left.

After she spoke to Paul, Siyanda asked Primrose about what Q is up to. Primrose told Siyanda that Q told him to keep quiet because he wanted to raise a million and surprise the Matabanes and Siyanda that he can do something positive. When everyone was trying to find Q, Primrose was quick to take the envelope from the bin and call the agency. It was then that she found out that his flight to Milan was leaving in 2 hours. Siyanda rushed to the airport to stop him. There you have it guys, Q and his pomade defrauded a couple of old people of all their investment money!!

*****************************THE END******************************

I know its Tuesday and I haven’t seen if Siyanda was able to catch Q! I guess I’ll keep on watching Rhythm City and catch Isidingo on Sunday. I couldn’t help but notice that Ma’Agnes’ friend Mr. Whachumacallit and Mike are both ex-Isidingoans on Rhythm City!

I haven’t been scammed – thank Gaad!!
Have you or do you know anyone who was scammed?? Whether it was a few hundreds or couple of thousands?? Let me know and holler at me… I still can’t believe that the Matabanes could be sooo trusting.

I saw a promo tonight on what’s coming up on Isidingo. Frank and his family are coming back, meaning one of the scenes I’ve recapped now is coming to an end. I hope it’s all of them. Q hamba and go back ekaya!!, Slu and Georgie…sigh…actually the writers must go back to the drawing board... Finish and Klaar!!

Still spreading the Lahv I hope.....
