I haven’t seen all of it, it hit me towards the end when I saw zhampagne bubbles/glass (glam), but doesn’t Generations also have a champagne glass in their opening sequence??
Q works at the Duncan
Q is The Duncan’s new Trainee Manager. You see how helpful it is to have connections (working for your sister’s best friend). How do they expect him to be responsible if they keep doing him favours? What is there to be said about Q?? I think he’s up to something again… really I couldn’t be bothered. Q is like caramel; too much of him is sickening… I think he wants to change the Duncan’s clientele because boLettie were complaining that The Duncan’s is at the Deep but is only targeted at the Rich. Living in Cape Town I feel like that a lot. We live in the city but we cant afford half the things!! Property is depressing… and who does their shopping at Waterfront???? That place is expensive… that’s why I’ve decided to move back to Jozi!!!
Alec is so bored
Alec has been testing the security system, false alarms going off now and then. I don’t know if he doesn’t know what he’s doing!! He’s used to chasing murderers now he has to fix some stupid alarm system?? He then received a call of another 3 week assignment in Chad! After Lee reminded him that they made a deal that they’ll give their relationship some normality, Alec decided to turn down the offer. Do you think he just turned it down coz its just 3 weeks?? what happens when they offer him a good deal that takes longer?? I think he’s just doing it to make Lee happy, even Q noticed that he looked like a caged Lion.
Stay 1 more day…???
Huuuwwwiiiieee… I must say I lahv Calvin. He said things that needed to be said to that mama’s baby Nicky!! She was really frustrating me with her selfishness and not considering her mom’s happiness. Ok I’m getting carried away…
Remember that Nicky asked her mom to choose. So obviously Tash chose her daughter and asked Frank and Calvin to move out. Calvin was pissed off and told Nicky where to get off (in his classic coloured accent). He told Nicky how b!tchy she’s been, how Frank was there for her when her dad messed up. Well basically he told her to stop being a cry baby and do this for her mom’s sake. He also brought back the fact that Tash waved a knife at him, he was angry at her for that but he forgave her because he saw how happy his father was with Tash.
Frank was running out of options, he eventually started looking for accommodation, but settled on moving into a hotel. When reality hit Natasha that Frank was going, she asked him to stay one more day and that she’ll speak to Nicky. Nicky was not changing her mind, she started crying to her mother saying “I need you mom….. I need you!!!” aaaaahhhhhh!!!!! When Frank pointed out to Tash that Nicky is an adult and that she should find her own feet, but Tash still sees her as a child. Sigh..
When Frank spoke to her, he asked her what he has to do to 
make her comfortable with him. Her response was: “There’s nothing anybody can do!!”.. Why the hell are you being difficult then!!!!!! The next morning she had the nerve to tell them that they don’t have to move out so quickly!! Calvin let her have it again in front of their parents, “Look at your mother!!! She’s not happy, and it’s your fault!!!” mtshele Calvin… hawu…!!
Nicky and Tash had a mother daughter talk about what really happened in London. Lets just say that Nicky is the clingy type who’s not ready to face the world on her own… i.e. Spoilt brat!!
Maybe I’m out of order? Please make me understand why she’s behaving this way!!
Zeb Matabane for councilor!!!
After the death of Mr. Shongwe, Vusi & Agnes convinced Zeb to run for councilor. Zeb didn’t want to run for the election explaining to his family that running a ward and the union are two different. After much persuasion, he announced to his family that he wont be running for the elections. Lettie didn’t give up, asked Vusi to speak to some guy (forgot his name) in Zeb’s union as he will be able to convince Zeb to do it. Next thing we know Zeb is running to the local councilor. Ma’Agnes is obviously his tutor guiding him…actually she was instructing Zeb on what do to, how to behave and what to say. I don’t know why she didn’t just nominate herself to be a councilor.
Back at the Buller's Maggie also announced that she will fight crime in The Deep if she is elected as a councilor. The housemates were not really supporting her. Lolly (she’s back) just saw an angle for a story: A woman who’s house was broken into, and also hijacked becomes local councilor. When she pitched the idea to Frank, he turned her down telling her that it has no human interest and there’s no way Maggie will win the elections.
Zeb called The Deep community at The Rec and announced that he will be running for the councilor elections. He received great response in general. It was at that point that Maggie decided that she does not want to be a councilor; she just wants to kill her hijackers.
The Matabanes happy mood was spoiled by an article printed in the local newspaper about the possibility that Mr. Shongwe could be poisoned at The Rec… Hmmmm… as a local person I would see Zeb wanting to be councilor as murder! A councilor dies at your restaurant and now you’re running for the same position. It will really get tongues wagging. Dirt also comes out when elections loom, so the fact that Zeb has an affair and had a child with another woman, will obviously resurface. Interesting… The PR manager (Agnes) called the newspaper and instructed them to print an apology. She told them that the autopsy results are not out yet, bla bla bla…
Frank told Lolly to cover Zeb’s story instead and off she went with the camera crew to Zeb’s house. Zeb has to do several takes before the final cut. He was so nervous. Basically he was challenging his competitor to come forward for a live debate. When the interview was screened, Len was impressed at how professional Zeb sounded. Lolly pointed out that he sounded that way after hours of editing. The locals didn’t know who Zeb’s opposition was and when Mr. Whachumacallit announced that the opposition has agreed to take part in the debate, everyone got nervous and excited at the same time.
The Debate!!!
Everyone gathered at The Rec to: first see who Zeb’s opposition and then listen to the debate. When the opposition finally came in, people were shocked that it was Georgie Zamdela! He had a subtle shirt (not those freak ones he likes to wear), chosen by Gugu of course. Georgie was being simple, delivered a simple speech on some “I wont tell you what I’ll do, I’m here to listen. To know what you want. I want to talk to you and know you as a friend” something along those lines. He got great response from a crew led by Slu.
The debate started and Zeb was out of words, the crowd (Slu) cheered for Georgie and Lolly instructed the camera to zoom into Zeb’s confused and defeated face. Shame…
Seems like Georgie might be the next councilor! We’ll have to wait and see; maybe Isidingo is getting a little spark back. Here’s some advice: bring out the dirt!! Georgie mentioned Lorraine, would they bring him too?? Remember Lorraine was a gold digger!! Will she come back when she realizes that Georgie is a councilor (if he wins)? She was ghetto too, she could teach that boring Gugu a thing or 2!!
Who do you think should win? And should Lorraine come back as Georgie’s first lady.
