First of all, I’d like to say BIG UPS to
LIVE for their contribution in promoting South African music. They may have a boring opening
title sequence (or whatever it is that they call a song that plays when a show starts); not fired Andile; hired a loud co-presenter whose dress sense is questionable (I love Bee, BTW), still doing
ONE and pretending it’s a new show, but
they ROCK!!!
Now that that’s out of the way, let me get on with business…
Martin (member of the 2000 and something winners of Coca-Cola Postars group, Ghetto Lingo)‘s video was the first one up. The name of the song is
Nonganga. I like the song, the video is forgettable. And judging by his
disturbing dance moves (the man can gyrate) and
facial expression (he looks like he is in pain, don’t know if that translates to passionate), he loves his song too!
Chisa Roba Letheka!!!Palesa was in the studio. They weren’t performing, they were there for an interview; which is a good thing because they were stepping on each other’s sheets (or whatever it was that they were wearing). It would be a disaster if they had to move anymore than they did! BTW, they donated some money for Busi Mhlongo. Methinks they have full-time jobs.
Unless, of course, the moola is coming from their CD sales??? The interview was, in true
LIVE style, nothing to write home (or TVSA in this case) about. Didn’t know that one of the girls “Enterrred Coca-Corrrla Porrpstarrrs in 2003”. They all speak like that BTW. Thata Mams!
They showed
Drencko’s video; songs name is
No More. Drencko, bhuti wami,
please rethink your style, you are killing your career. Very few people want to see a man in pink underwear (or something that looks very much like it) and pink ribbons; well, at least I don’t. Think about it, neh. They also showed
You make me better by
Fabo ft
Neyo and
Beautiful Girl by
Sean Kingston. Love both songs!
Has Elle seen
Brickz lately? He is looking cute. They showed an insert of his interview, talking about his album due for a release soon. Another insert they showed was the making of a video for
Teargas. The director (or producer) is
Thapelo Mokwena. Sorry ladies, he is behind the scenes!!! Oh and guys, we are waiting for a new album, somblief!!!
Mandoza was there to tell his side of the story of him allegedly klapping Mpho… says he wasn’t even there… Mpho was fighting with some other chick… Sowetan never writes anything positive about the black man… he is suing… “
I will fight you until until”. Enough said. I don’t want to get involved. One question, though: Is he still a musician?
And of course, my favourite:
Chomee! She was there with her entourage (the papers love saying that, neh). She did two songs live. She wore a black and blue outfit, with a feather tail. Yoh, and be ka
fesha like crazy!!! She changed outfits for the second song and she wore a black lace thing and be ka
fesha still. I must say that this
feshing business and the outfits is good distraction from your songs. Good for you, chozza!
Next time you can just dance to instrumentals, we won’t notice.Andile did a review of
Zonke’s CD titled Life Love and Music… he loves it… gave it a 4/5… At the risk of sounding like a souding like a stuck record, they should have asked someone else to do the reviews. LIVE, please email me.
I could give you really good tips on how you can improve your show. Seriaas!!! Holler at
jordan28.inc@gmail.com. Bonang has toned her voice down by 3 decibels, but stylewise she hasn’t redeemed herself. I still believe in you Bee!!
That’s all from me, guys. Did y’all watch the show? What did you think?
Pics are taken from the internet (duh)
