Could Busi be the one behind her beloved Jack’s death?Last week we saw Busi getting sick in her office and passing out. The next day a cleaner found her lying on the floor and she was rushed to hospital, just in the nick of time as it would turn out.
She was diagnosed with inhaling carbon monoxide gases which after investigation turns out it came from her air-conditioner. At first, I thought there was somebody behind all of this maybe Jack’s cronies, but it’s been ruled out as an accident since the vents in her air-conditioner was blocked and all the gases from all the other offices were blowing back into hers.
Now one would ask what the significance of this whole storyline is and it came out a few days later when Busi, in her drugged state was lying there mumbling to herself. First we saw her having dreams of the day Jack died, when she rushed in just as his heart gave in and her crying in agony. Then we heard her saying something which only Sibusiso overheard, she said
“I killed him, I killed Jack”.
I’m so glad they finally decided to shed abit of light on this whole
“who killed Jack” storyline. I mean we were left hanging for so long after Jack died with so many possible murderers, as he was a hated man with many enemies.
We saw a black gloved hand injecting fatal doses of penicillin was it, into Jack’s IV, it could’ve been anyone of Ace, Kenneth or Busi since they’re the only ones who heard what the doctor had to say about too much penicillin.
The thing is why would Busi who loved Jack dearly be the one to kill him, is it because he was suffering, perhaps she felt guilty about all the deaths he was accountable for, what?
We still don’t have any answers to whether she really did the devious deed or not. When Sibusiso confronted her about what she said, she was shocked claiming not to know anything about it. Later, she cried in his arms as she said, she killed Jack with her soul, by not loving him and giving him a chance when he needed it.
By the look on Sibusiso’s face, one can see that he doubted her but he let it go.
Later, Busi called up Lumka who’s having her own happily ever after in the UK with Vuyo, and she suggested she come over for a visit.
Naturally Sibusiso wasn’t happy to hear that Busi was going on holiday but she insisted it’s what she needs at this time.
Why is Busi running away? Has she suppressed the memory of killing Jack or is she really not guilty? Will Queen take the plunge?Queen has been in 7th heaven since Steve proposed to her and was busy busy making wedding arrangements or trying to at least. Steve on the other hand was very preoccupied, eventually he told Queen what was really bothering him, the job offer from Funky Fashions to head up their new store meant he had to re-locate to Australia. This news hit Queenie for a six, she was completely thrown off guard.
The next day Queen was very depressed, all she could think about was living a lonely life since she had to give Steve the opportunity to follow his dream. When she and Steve spoke again, he suggested she and Princie emigrate with him, now this really made Queen confused. She spoke to Karabo about it and she advised Queen to follow her heart.
Well Queen’s heart led directly to Steve and like her whole relationship with the guy, the decision to emigrate was made in haste.
Everyone asked her whether she was sure she was doing the right thing and she insisted she gave the best years of her life to the company, it was time to make a new life.
Steve is leaving within the week and if Queen can get her visa sorted out, she and Princie will be leaving with him. Princie is very excited about the kangaroos he'll be seeing in real life.
The thing is, is Queen making the right decision to just pack up, to leave her friends and everything that is familiar to her, to go spend a life with a guy she barely knows six months in a foreign country?
The battle lines are drawn between Kenny and DinnyDineo is literally being kept as a prisoner in her own house. She stupidly signed a contract when she got back with Kenneth and now the man is really making her sweat it out by changing the life she has become used to. No longer can she dress the way she wants, she had to learn to cook, she cannot go shopping, she basically has to do everything Kenny tells her to.
When Kenny told her she will not be going in to work for at least a week, poor Dinny was bored at home, he even took her car keys away so that she cannot leave the house.
Unknown to Dineo, Kenneth had instructed Ace to have cameras installed in every room in the house except the bathroom, he also told Ace to follow his wife around and basically be his eyes and ears when he, Kenny, is not around and to report back to him.
With everyone being concerned about Dinny’s strange behaviour, her drunkenness at the bar, not being herself at work, then staying away from work, Khetiwe decided to look into the matter.
She sensed that Dineo was very unhappy so she decided to approach Ace and using her charm, Ace spilled the beans about the real situation in the Mashaba house. Khetiwe was beyond shocked that a husband could do that to his own wife and she was angry that Ace was willing to go along with it, telling him, one always has a choice in a situation.
She immediately made her way to Dineo and told her what Ace revealed. Dinny didn’t want to believe that her husband could be such a monster but slowly it dawned on her that it made sense because Kenny knew about things which he could only have known by spying on her.
The two immediately decided to look for the monitor, they made their way to Kenny’s study, found the keys to his drawer and found the laptop with the incriminating evidence. Later Dineo herself spied on Kenny giving Ace further instructions and the sight of her husband sickened her.
After the weekend, Dineo was back at work as per Kenny’s instructions, she had no chance to confront him since he was mostly out over the weekend. She decided to lift her spirits by being her normal cheerful self and everyone welcomed her back to work. Zamani was looking at her rather strangely listening to Dineo pretend that everything is fine when clearly its not.
Zamani knew about her drunken escapade at the bar and Khetiwe blurted out to him about the cameras that Kenny had installed in the house. Later, Dineo goes up to Zamani and tries to make excuses for her behaviour not wanting him or Samuel to lose their respect for her.
Much later when Ace comes into the office, the two of them are alone and she lays into him for being Kenneth’s lapdog. She warns him to stop following her around and to stop spying on her otherwise she will tell Kenny that Ace betrayed his trust by spilling the beans about the cameras. Poor Ace is caught between a rock and a hard place.
Now that she had that all sorted out, Dineo was feeling in cheerful again so she went out shopping and spoiled herself abit.
At dinner that eveing, Dineo was a sweet as honey as she confidently told Kenneth that she went shopping, etc. Kenny was not a happy man but he couldn’t confront her, not in front of Grace who was now living with them.
Later in their bedroom, Kenneth confronted Dineo but she remained strong almost defiant, telling him she was not following his ridiculous rules anymore, she wanted to live her life not be a prisoner. Kenny quietly mentioned the signing of the contract which is a legal document making her do everything he tells her to. Or what, she demanded, what if she doesn’t follow his rules?
Naturally if she doesn’t follow his rules, she’ll be thown out with not a cent to her name, he further taunted her by saying
“come now Dinny, we know how much you like the lifestyle, the fancy job title, designer clothes, luxury car, etc.
Dineo was trapped, what is a girl to do in a hopeless situation as this?
Other minor storylines- Ntombi feels she has to get the two most important men in her life, her father and her fiancé, to somehow get along. After speaking to Samuel, he suggest to she ask their mother to assist in getting the men together.
Ntombi then phones her mom and asks her help in getting the men to come together, surely they have something in common? Later her mom comes back to her and says she has an idea and it involves fishing!
- Karabo has a date set up when the social worker will be seeing her to determine whether she can adopt the little boy she has grown attachéd to, Sizwe. Well if Madonna and Angelina Jolie can adopt children from this continent, why can’t Karabo? It’s the first time that I see little Sizwe and he’s really an adorable little boy who cannot wait to call Karabo,
"mummy"!
- Grace has taken uncle Kenneth up on his offer to move into his house after he told her what really happened between him and her father. Apparently Paul Mashaba had slept with Kenny’s first wife leading to them divorcing and him and his brother being estranged from one another. Grace’ mom couldn’t really get out of the marriage since she had abandoned her own family by getting involved in an inter-racial relationship and she had nowhere else to go.
Off course Grace had no reason to question her uncle Kenneth but when she phoned her dad and told him she was not moving back to Cape Town but rather moving in with her uncle, her dad refused to speak to her and cut her off.
Grace was very sad and disappointed and in her vulnerable state, she and Ajax actually connected when she told him about her father’s true character being revealed to her. Ajax could actually relate to her since he didn’t have a stellar relationship with his dad as well.
So Grace hasn’t spoken to her dad about what Kenneth told her and afterwards, uncle Kenny made it clear that she dare not bring up the subject with her dad, under no circumstances, it was way too sensitive and just a bad reminder, he told her.
The thing is I don’t believe Kenneth, I won’t put anything past him, he’s probably the one who betrayed his brother and now he’s deliberately sabotaging Paul’s relationship with his daughter.
Will Grace learn the truth about her uncle before she destroys her relationship with her dad? Will the mysterious Paul Mashaba eventually make an appearance?Stay tuned for all this and more!GenerationsMondays-FridaysSABC 1 - Mzansi for Sho20:00
