I was still waiting for a time Lucky Dube would do it one more time for the sake of the young fans who where not there to join him in the stadium those days...
So for the sake of the old time days, lets pretend we ar at the stadium, Lucky Dube is coming on stage and he sings...
Chorus:
Nobody can stop reggae (x3)
'Cos reggaes strong
The he shouts are you there Jahman? We scream yeah!!!!!
chorus:
Daddy where ever you are remember me
In what ever you do I love you
Daddy where ever you are remember me
In what ever you do I love you
Chorus:
Now I'm a slave, a slave
I'm a slave
I'm a liquor slave
I'm a slave, a slave, slave
I'm a slave
Just a liquor slave
Chorus:
Oh my son, I am sorry about what happened
Many years ago
Me and your mother had trouble all the time
We could not stay together any more
The last solution was getting divorced
I know what that means to your life
I can hear you crying
From a million miles away
Calling "Daddy" but there 's no answer
Chorus:
I remember the day I called mama on the telephone
I told her mama I'm getting married
I could hear her voice on the other side of the telephone she was smiling
And she asked me a question that I proudly answered
She said son did you take time to know her
I said mama she's the best
But today it hurts me so
To go back to mama and say mama I
'm getting divorced
Oh I'm getting divorced
mama said to me
Chorus:
It's not easy to understand it son
But I hope you'll make it (x3)
You'll be happy again

This morning South Africans work up to a shocking story of Lucky Dube being shot dead at Johannesburg. The press reports that 3 men shot Lucky Dube in what is known to be a botched hijacking last night 18/10/2007 at 20:20.
He was traveling with his 2 kids when the scenario happened. So you can imagine the trauma that the kids are in now. Seeing your father die in front of your eyes. Our condolences to the family of Dube!
Dube was born in 1964 3 August, so yes the man had just celebrated his birthday. It was reported that he received so many messages from all over the country, as far as Australia, Nigeria and America. So yes the reggae singer was well known. I dont think we ar the only country who ar in shock today, the whole world will be in memory of him.
Lucky was born in Ermelo, Mpumalanga, raised by single mother (how many South African's can relate to this?) together with his brother and sister.
He started singing reggae on his 5th album, round about 1984 (my birth year) that is when he become famous in music, from then he never looked back. So I think so!!
Guys this just reminds of how life is really short... here today gone tomorrow.
And to think that the 3 men who shot lucky never even took his car from him or something. Just shot him and left him there!
People what has our country come to now? This is also after a week Leanne Manas from Morning Live SABC 2 was robbed.
When I think of the above songs and think that we will never get to hear him sing them again, Modimo my heart!!!
Remember the song? The cats and the dogs they forgive at each other, why cant you forigive?
Lucky Dube sung the reggae songs that no -one could not ignore. I mean I don't really like reggae but hey when somebody plays the olden Lucky album, Oh CHILD I tell you!!!! We dance and sing at the top of our voices. We all related to him... so did other countries.
My worry is when other countries report this what will they think of South Africa? Killing our own talented people in their own countries? Are they going to envy to come to SA for 2010? Lord help us!
Because I know this is now live, on BBC, CNN, SABC you name them.....
I'm glad though that he died with some "mula" because many South African musicians die without a penny.
But the fact that he was driving his big Chrysler means he was well off. I'm also tired of talented people dying poor, but Lucky Dube managed to win over 20 awards for his musical contribution - both in South Africa and internationally.
So I wud want to belive that uLucky was sorted. I wonder weather he was married or what was the story there?
Overall majents, this has really hit us hard, we are killing our own people...
But I'm glad he made his mark and his songs spoke for themselves.
Lucky Dube, you will be remembered baba!!! And to all other musicians who also left us unexpected we do remember you.
Oh and this reminds me of Mabrrrr (Brenda uyi bozza) left us; Lebo Mathosa, Jabu Khanyile, you name them!!! Remember how sad was this?
