A legend has fallen, normally when a huge tree falls the whole community is saddened. Lucky Dube. Born August 3, 1964 and died on October 18, 2007. What a loss to Soutth Africa and the huge reggae community. My condolences to the family and may his soul rest in peace.

The man was a hero, a veteran, a legend, a father, a brother and a friend. To me its as if he knew that this day would come. But he didn’t wait patiently for it. Like the disciples of Jesus Christ that were asked to wait in prayer. He dedicated his few years in the liberation. Liberation of the country, Liberation of the religion, belief and liberation of the soul. Its as if he had predicted how his death would be, quoting from his lyrics.

In his world dog eat dog, That is how we know his day is gonna come
every dog has his day”
(the bully)

too many people die these days, oh if you read the papers, check out the news
the numbers are there

every number, represents a human being, who was a father, who was a mother
a son or a daughter of this land...oh

you are here today, tomorrow you are gone” (# in the book)

another tear drop falls” (ding ding licky licky licky bong)

do you know where your son/daughter is tonight, I'm afraid they won't be coming home tonight (Family ties)

Had those stinking sub humans spared him hislife I would gladly quote this from his song, “Oh God, thank you
for another chance” but they chose not to, and now he is no more.

What has happened to the people of this world?
What causes them to be so violent and greedy?
Is it money lack of employment, consequences of the apartheid.
Whatever it is, it aint worth a person’s soul.

Our president satnds proud and say crime is not as bad as people say it is in this country!!!!!! ( And he wants a wall & security that costs millions.
Our safety minister, Charles Nqakula once said, “we are doing our best to combat crime in SA, if u don’t see the change pack your bags and leave.

Lucky Dube had so much faith in the leaders and the changes they promised, He chose to stay in his country and he got to pay by his soul. Is this what we all destiny for, leaders.

MAY HIS BEAUTIFUL SOUL, REST IN ETERNAL PEACE

When I am dead, my dearest,
Sing no sad songs for me;
Plant thou no roses at my head,
Nor shady cypress tree:
Be the green grass above me
With showers and dewdrops wet;

taken from Rest in Peace Quotes

My condolences are with his family.

May his soul rest in peace.
