I haven't been able to stop thinking about Hein and Lorette's hysterical challenge since it happened in
last week's episode.
To recap - just in case you missed it - they each have to count 30 seconds backwards while Mark takes the actual time on a stopwatch and the person who finishes their countdown the closest to 30 seconds will win staying in the game.
The thing that's so crazy about it is that I just don't understand how they're gonna manage to get through counting down without panicking about whether or not they're going to slowly or too quickly and then forget where they are.
I thought it would be fun to give it a try to see what it's like before it happens so I'm sitting here with a stopwatch - got it as a pressie and never used it - and I'm going to give it a bash to see how well I do.
I haven't tried it yet so it's gonna be a first time attempt. Okay - oooh I'm quite nervous suddenly ...
Right ... I'm starting ... *taking a quick sip of tea for sustenance* ...NOW!
....
52 seconds!!!! 00.52.13 to be exact. Noooo - it's too ridiculous!!!
I started counting sort of semi-aloud until I got confused at about 18 - I think I left 16 out - and then I counted in my head, which obviously didn't speed it up at all. I concentrated so hard on not thinking about whether or not I was going to slowly or too quickly I obviously lost all sense of time!
You SO have to try it and see how you do. Here's an online stopwatch for you:
Stopwatch.
You'll have to hover your mouse over it once you've started, close your eyes and click stop when you're finished.
So, so, - spill it.
