Kanye West Breaks Into Tears Onstage

We all heard the devastating news of Kanye's mother's death a week ago. Hayi sheim I really feel sad for him because he was said to be very close to his mother.

Nevertheless, here is the latest news on Kanye's devastation:

West is having a hard time with the recent loss of his mother. After pulling out of a scheduled performance for Victoria's Secret show recently, the rapper broke into tears during a performance in Paris on Saturday (November 17), his first since her passing. Via a YouTube clip of the performance, West is seen holding his hands over his face for several minutes before members of his band came out to console him.The rapper was an hour into his show at Le Zenith, according to People.com, when he attempted to perform "Hey Mama," introducing it by saying "This song is for my mother ... " but could not continue, the magazine reported.

He said the word, 'Mother,' and just couldn't go any further," Le Parisien journalist Meddy Magloire told People. "A back-up singer, the DJ and a guitar player came over to console him. It looked like he might collapse. He just couldn't continue. He just stood there in a spotlight, crying, while the band continued playing. He is reported as restarting the song, but again was unable o finish. He left the stage, regrouped, then returned approximately 15 minutes later to end the concert with "Stronger ".

Kanye West's mother, Dr. Donda West, died a week ago suddenly in Los Angeles. At first, details regarding the death were unknown, but it was later revealed that she died from complications following a tummy tuck and breast reduction surgery. West is slated to be in Oklahoma City on Tuesday (November 20) for the funeral services for his mother, which will take place at the Howard-Harris Funeral Home

why's he even back at work? this is a devastating loss, it's only been a week, for God's sake! haai, it's only money - and god knows he has enough of that! best he take some time out to GRIEVE for his huge loss....

maybe Ye wanted to pay tribute to his late mom...i dont think it was a matter of money...he has enough of that...and sometimes people grieve differently....he must just be stronger....and may the soul of Dr Donda rest in peace..

@sweetie my babe: You can ask that again but Bra Bizza has a good point too. May be he reckoned if he keeps himself busy he won't think about this whole ordeal that much.

I suppose there is a lot of pressure to look good especially when you are in the public eye.
Now i feel bad for being one of the people that asked Shuga to take that scarry looking lady of our screens.

He should just take atleast a month off work.

Sweety dint you think he did the concert because it was already schedulled before the mom passed?Hawu monchooza why r u being like that?Loosing a mother is such a painful thing I think its really inconsiderate to joke about it.

no man, Onna - you can get out of a work commitment you're hit by a tragedy - especially if you're a superstar njenga Kanye... i mean the logic is that you are just not in a fit state to perform the duties you've been paid for (as witnessed by kanye breaking down)

this is the cold voice of experience talking, mind you. when i had my loss, i checked out of my life (and i'm hardly rolling in it, ok?) and took time out to grieve properly. made for much less trauma, long-term...

LOL ms tebby dont go there.......i was a very busy woman last year, was hardly on here...but this year, things are better, I might just keep my promise!!!
