Just heard the faboo news that Ugly Betty 2's been confirmed to premiere on M-Net on Tuesday, 25 March at 19h30.

When the first season finished at the end of the last year the news was that it was only going to be back in about six months time so it's an excellent surprise that it's happening so much sooner.

Also coming up in the March line-up - on 2 March at 22h00 - Dexter Slasher 2. I couldn't help myself during the December holidays - I had to feed the hunger so I caught the full season and trust me when I tell you it's the best TV thriller ever made - it keeps you on the edge of your seat like you can't believe. I was iffy that it wouldn't be as brilliant as the first season - it turns out it's unbelievably even better.

News about other confirmed shows coming in March:

NEW SHOWS
Samantha Who
Premiere date: Wednesday 5 March at 19h00

Samantha Who

After a car accident causes her to develop retrograde amnesia, Samantha Newly (Christina Applegate) digs through clues to discover that she was a horrible person. Vain, selfish, lacking conscience or heart, she had far more enemies than friends so when she learns that her "accident" was actually an attempted murder, she is not surprised.

As she begins the long, comic process of starting over, she fears that the “old Sam” will return or her would-be killer will try again. Samantha tries to remake herself through good, positive choices - even though the bad ones are so much easier (and way more fun).

Ella Blue (M-Net Original Production)
Premiere date: Wednesday 12 March at 20h00

Ella Blue is set in the year 1961 and tells the story of a woman's physical, emotional and spiritual journey through the process of race classification in terms of the Group Areas Act of 1950.

Ella and her family have lived peacefully for generations in a remote fishing village on the Cape Coast, until the day it is announced that the Census Official is arriving to classify every person in the small, secluded community according to their colour.

Bit by bit the intimate little community is torn apart and is ultimately destroyed by the political policies of the day.

OTHER NEW SEASONS

Parkinson 7
Premiere date:  Friday 7 March at 23h30

Episode info coming when it's on.

My Name is Earl 3
Premiere date: Monday 17 March at 19h00

The third season finds Earl confessing to a crime that he did not commit so that that his ex-wife Joy doesn’t go to jail, while Earl’s brother, Randy, struggles to survive without his brother. Will Earl be released from prison, or will he and his friends plan a prison break?

This is awesome news- exactly what I predicted hower. After the 9 episodes of Pushing Daisies that had been filmed, Ugly Betty will replace it- one of the only good things of the WAG Strike, although I do like Pushing Daisies- but CANNOT Wait For UGLY BETTY to return!!!

And extra yay for the return of My Name is Earl!!!

(theres a Dstv article that says that some shows on Bet will be airing on Mtv base with Bet soon returning to our screens)
Also, whilst you are jabbing/threatening/corrupting/blackmailing your voice over at Dstv, when will the BBC channels be changing (BBC Prime to BBC entertainment etc) National Geographic WILD!was also mentioned to be launched....

I know this is not the right place for this post but I've run out of options .... there is a fault when I log into the forum (says my password not valid) and I can't seem to contact anyone to help me .....

What I really want to know is: When is Survivor coming back to SABC? And why is MNET having such a big competition with them on the Tue night slots ....

Also, MNET has some fantastic new series and new seasons of old series (and the new Nip/Tuck on Series) yet TVSA haven't had any articles raving about them .... just wandered if everyone is still on holiday? Or am I missing something? Or looking in the wrong place .....

Once again sorry for the misplaced post
