Yes my people who are fans of the glitz and glam.. The high profiles and shattered male egoes...
ITS FINALLY Time for the Cream of the Crop of all award shows to occur.. My esteemed and wonderful friend, Oscar is here.
but two weeks ago i wasnt so sure that Oscar would be paying any of us a visit with the writers deciding to "toi-toi" just as award season began.. My heart melted when the Globe wasnt shown.. Hated the writers for doing that to me but then realised, a man (and woman) gots't to eat!!!
Anyway moving on..
these years nominees are very, i mean Very, VERY talented. Not that previous nominees weren't but these guys are just so extra-ordinary in their roles.. from Cate's Portrayal of Elizabeth to a very sweet yet clever comic insense from Ellen Page in Juno. They are good but the firm favourite this year is Julie in Away From Her which got critics singing Oscar from day one.. She is also my firm Favourite to win the Actress award.
No Country for Old Man, There Will Be Blood and Atonement have got me yerning to run to my nearest cinema. From the lil bits i have seen, they are spectacular!! And that is why they are all competing to for the Best Picture Award.. Yes Atonement has taken the Globe and the BAFTA but it doesnt really screm Oscar!!!
All that matters is that they were recognized right?? WRONG!!!!!!!!
No one wants to lose but we cant give an award to Everyone. So if your Fav doesnt win on the night, "Sorry For You. Better Luck next time!".
The Oscars air on M-net on Monday night at 19:00 till late. Red Carpet event on E! at 00:00 till 02:00. so to all the insomniacs, theres something to keep your eyes wondering..
P.S. Sorry for it being this long..
