An update on the dancing moves going down on Dans! Dans! Dans!:

Press release:

With only three episodes left to dazzle the judges, win viewers’ votes and be crowned South Africa’s best and most versatile dancer, the Top 8 finalists in kykNET’s Dans! Dans! Dans! are seized by a new burst of energy this week.

Survival is the name of the game as they take to the dance floor at Carnival City’s Mardi Gras Theatre.

This week’s theme is Music Videos. Can contestants match the standards of polished international performers like Justin Timberlake and Madonna?

Expect nothing less than fresh, energetic routines, infused with hip urban beats, slick footwork and a trendy flavour as contestants make their first appearance on stage in the following pairs:

Henk Opperman (17) and Jac-Louis Snyman (20) will perform a Hip Hop number choreographed by Quintus Jansen.

Andile Ndlovu (19) and Casey Swales (19) will dance Street Fusion choreographed by Somizi Mhlongo.

Carmia Cruywagen (20) and Yarisha Singh (27) will perform a Contemporary Jazz number choreographed by Debbie Rakusin.

Nicole McCreedy (28) and Rachelle D’Artnall (24) will dance a Funk routine as choreographed by Alethea Williams.

For their second performance, the contestants have been divided into two groups.

Jac-Louis Snyman, Andile Ndlovu, Yarisha Singh and Nicole McCreedy - the four contestants who won the favour of the judges during last week’s episode – will choreograph and perform a dance together.

Carmia Cruywagen, Rachelle D’Artnall, Casey Swales and Henk Opperman - who were put up for elimination last week but won the viewers’ votes - will choreograph and perform their own group number.

While contestants perform in couples and groups, they are judged individually, based on their own performance.

By the end of the evening, judges Esther Nasser, Dirk Badenhorst and Lorcia Cooper will once again divide the eight contestants into two groups: four contestants who are safe to move onto the next round and four who are at the mercy of the viewers’ votes to pull them through to the Top 6.

Voting lines open on Saturday night (15 March) directly after the broadcast (21h00), and will close again on Monday evening (17 March) at 20h05 so that viewers can vote for their favourite contestants.

The guy and girl who receive the least votes by the end of the voting period will be sent home in the live results show on Monday 17 March at 20h00.

South Africa’s popular Afrikaans Boy band, Eden will end this weeks show.

Dans! Dans! Dans! is on kykNet (Channel 105) on Saturdays at 20h00. It's repeated on Wedesdays at 22h00.
