In this edition of the Saving A Species series actress Natalie Portman journeys deep into Rwanda's rainforest for the adventure of a lifetime: she is in search of the mountain gorilla.
This rare species is on the verge of extinction and Natalie is determined to help. There are only a few hundred of these spectacular creatures left in the wild and their survival depends on a committed conservation effort.
World renowned animal expert and conservationist Jack Hanna is Natalie's guide as the programme follows their trek to learn more.

Animal Planet returns to the world-renowned Shamwari Game Reserve in South Africa for a new season of Unearthed.
Four amateur wildlife filmmakers from around the world have been chosen and invited to participate in an intensive filmmaking course.
The show follows the contestants as they embark on demanding training, where they learn the essential skills and realities of creating a natural history documentary.
The amateur filmmakers -Sebastian from New Zealand, Mayuri from India, Jorge from Mexico and Anabel from the UK - are ultimately competing to have their film chosen as the winner and broadcast on Animal Planet in 160 countries around the world.
Renowned wildlife filmmakers Lyndal Davies and Andrew Barron guide the participants through their tasks on the course.
