My all time favourite songs:

James Ingram- baby's born

Couldn't find the lyrics to this song but i love the piano introductory sound (or whatever musical instrument it is) and the way he doesn't sound like he's straining his voice to sing the song. When i sing it i change ranges, tones, pitches so much that it leaves me impressed that this man sings it with such calmness and his voice just serenades me. The album from which this song comes from is a classic one-all the songs are timeless and performed so well that they leave goosebumps on your skin.

This is a song i sing in my head when i have nothing to do, when i'm doing the house chores, when i'm depressed and trying to soothe myself, it's my daughter's lullaby.......it speaks to my sould, my being, my fibre!

Barbara Streisand and Brian McKnight- i finally found someone

This song is my "feel-good song". I can never get over it and it's the soundtrack to my fairytale wedding. If i can find a man that can sing (that wants to marry me lol), i'd ask him to sing this song for me!!!!

Michael Jackson- Keep The Faith
Actually, this is my number one all time favourite. For some unexplainable reason-weird as it is-this song brings a lump to my throat. It's the song i choke on when it plays and i sing along through the tears and the constricted throat. I am a big Michael Jackson fan and nothing will ever change how i feel about his musical geniusness! Michael Jackson songs are the backdrop to my childhood, i went through all the major milestones in my life and his music played on.

I first heard the song at boarding school-years ago-and i remember playing it over and over again on my pink radio (back when tapes were the in thing). i would play and pause and then write each word as he sang it and i finally memorised the song and would sing the song over and over again until I FELT it was my original work. I can't get through the first verse without wanting to burst into tears and this is the song i want played at my funeral....Dangerous is the album i want to be buried/cremated with.

Oh my gosh Tox , James Ingrams is my fav. too. i cook while playing him, but sometimes he tugs at my heart strings and makes me emotional. I sometimes prefer to listen to him at work cos here i'm neutral....(cant be crying at work now). I play it so loud at home and sing while tears are running down my face...ok ok ok maybe i'm emotional. The other song is "How do you loose urself to someone", iyhoo the lyrics here are just pure romance, true love. Sorry Tox, writing my own blog is too much work right now.
My others are: Michael Bolton, Phil Collins, Randy Crawford, Chris Walker, these artists just make me cry.

@ Monchooza, do u know that I bougfht that R79 CD of her's just for that song, it's no.9 on her CD, I am sorry to say this but I never thought mina I'd be moved by a song from Kelly Khumalo, but Akekho omunye, does that for me. & Monchy, ever listened to no.10 which is Xolela by Kelly Khumalo as well, damn that one is also good, if only she'd capitalize in songs like that!!!

@ Cnglemom - I fell inlove with that Akekho omunye song when she played it for the first time on TV kwi All You Need Is Love, the next morning I went straight to Musica coz I knew that the CD would be cheap and yes it was R79.

@ Monchooza - yah mina nawe we do have allot in common hey *eish ngavele ngaqaleka*..........oh and that's another common habbit we have..........LOL.

The first time i listened to this song i just knew those are exactly the words i wanna say to my parents, i loved it since then ... bought a card translated every word in there in Zulu(my parents are uneducated but they can read Zulu) wrote them into a A4 paper(except for the word baby) framed and gave it to them.

Whenever im down and everything seem to have taken a completely turn in my life, i listen to Mary-Mary ... Cant Give Up Now and Maduvha .... It's Gonna Be Alright

When i know that i'll have a long day, have things to do that im not even sure how to do them i listen to Maria Carey ... Hero and Destiny's Child ... Survivor

What about Can't Take It Away, by Mariah Carey. It is so touching but most of the times I listen to it when my spirit needs upliftment. But guys, plz don't laugh when I tell ya'll the real reason I love this song, ok her goes:

When I was in high school in Grade 10. We were asked to make a speech about our favourate song, so now this was requested by my English Teacher, and she had a soft spot for mwa and emotional speeches, so I played on her emotions with this song.

As ya'll know I'm PHAT (Pretty Hott And Thick), so now the gist of my speech was that as begining to gain weight and look curvy gal I am teased becoz of my body and this Mariah Carey makes me realise there's a light in me that no1 can take away, nomatter what they say, and I faked tears and I took a 1 minute pause during the speech and the class started clapping and I got a standing ovation.

I felt good and bad at the same time I felt good coz everyone was touched in the meantime I made up the story just to get good marks and I had no problem with being uMapakisha.....LOL......oh well all in the past now, just thought I'd share that ade ngabola...........LOL

Nonny the weird thing is that when it comes to my music ilali ziyaphela nya, my CD wallet is packed with music you would not expect someone like me to listen to. I feel like i am betraying my heritage sometimes. As strange as it may sound but Linkin Park is my favorite punk band of all times. I rock to Evanesence my immortal is my favorite song in that CD have both DVD/CD, not forgeting Nickelback - photograph is my fav tune. I know your mouth is wide open with disbelief but i dont know how this happened to me.

my all time fav song I dont know who sang it...maybe you can help me..it went something like this.

I first heard it when I was 14 or so...my uncle had the CD. I sometimes hear it on Sounds and Stuff lyk that but i never caught the Singer or the Tittle. PLease HElp!!!!!!

Also "Superstar-till she comes back" by Mr Luther...RIP...damn that songs tugs something in my heart and make me daydream oh so much!!!!!!!

Otherwise I love that Me & Mrs Jones song and Got caught by Clarence Carter...no reasons just love them voices.

why do you love those songs?

the very first bf calls after almost 8 years of leading separate lives. he says listen to usher's song My BOO.since then we call each other my boo, the relationship was soo good, both of us have not been able to let go completely.the break up was rather unceremonious now he insist we meet cause he can't move on clearly without us meeting..am not sure if it's a good idea cause he's my biggest weakness.
