Former YOTV presenter
Sade Giliberti has been named as the host of the South African version of the dance reality competition
So You Think You Can Dance.
The show kicks off on SABC1 on Saturday 9 August.
Giliberti was last seen on SABC1 18 months ago, presenting such kid's shows as
Wildroom and
Dlala Skhokho. Now 23, SYTYCD SA represents her first adult presenting role.
Although she is an avid fan of
the American version of the hit reality show, and confesses to loving dancing – she's quite content to stay behind the mic, where she's most comfortable.
"I don't think I'll be pulling any of those fancy dance moves myself, but it's nice to dream, isn't it?" she said.
Auditions for the show began in Johannesburg on 27 and 28 June. For some pics of the Jozi auditions,

The auditions now move to Durban's B.A.T. Centre on 13 July, then to 14 Hope Street in Cape Town on 19 July, and wrapping up on 30 July at the Port Elizabeth Opera House.
Sade will be working her way through the crowds at the auditions, capturing a sense of the nerves, thrills, personalities and melodrama among the masses of would-be dance divas and dudes.
According to Sade, the excitement is already palpable.
"Part of my excitement stems from the fact that it's a reality show that's going out live. If I can pull this off, I can pull anything off!"
So You Think You Can Dance South Africa premieres on SABC1 on Saturday 9 August 2008, at 18h30.
