Must i trust him?

Hi guys,

As shocked as i am, but i need ur opinion on this. I have received an email this morning frm a Laywer frm Malaysia, i'll say he is a lwayer atleast that is what he told me.

He said a client of his died in November 2001 of heart attacked caused by the death of all his family in a Air Flight Crash in 2000. Now he had been looking for the relatives or any family member of this person as frm December 2001.

He hasn't found anyone and the deceased has left money which amounts to 12.5 million dollars. Now he found me, and i share the same last name with this guy. Now the bank has given him a notice that the money will be declared unserviceable coz there is no one has claimed it yet.

Now he wants me to claim the money and he will draw up all the necessary legal papers that states i'm related to this guy, so that the bank can release this money.After the bank has released the money, we will share it into the agreed percentage we want to share it with.

Now my question is must i trust this guy and go with his idea or must i hear him out first, or shud i contact my lawyer and tell him about this and ask him what are the risks concerning this.

I dnt know what to do guys or shud i just ignore him and get on with my life as usually and pretend that i did not hear any of the sort?

I need ur honest opinions on this my bloggers plz help the sister out. I have not responded yet to the email.

I thought everyone knew by now that such emails are crap.........! Just dont entertain this mafacka. 3 years ago I nearly went to Canada sana for some youth *bleep!*.....getting international calls and all that requesting info in order to organise Visa ehehehehe.I figured it out before the damage could be done......!

Hlehle gal..sorry havent read your entire article but it sounds like the junk i get on my email on a daily basis. take my advice...hit the delete button right now and do not give it a second thought

Morning Hleh! Don't respond to that email, he might track you down once u respond. Remember, internet uses telkom connection...Thats some kind of a skam...So don't even think twice...It's a big DON'T!

And the email is from a yahoo account nogal.... Next thing they'll tell you you need to transfer some 400 Dollars to some Swiss account in order to release the money thats apparently yours....

Click on *Delete* now, Bulie, then *Empty Trash*....

SCAM......I've also received e-mails from people who had 'inherited' loads of money in dollars wanting my assistance to get the money into Mzansi. Bulldust. Don't even reply. Anyone can set a bogus website to show that the company does exist cause he knows that will most probably be your first port of call.

Sometimes it helps to watch Oprah. She did a show about these scams last yr and how people were robbed of thousands coz for some reason before he can make the payment u have to deposit some money to them. Good thing u asked Hlehle.

Ever heard of the 419 or 619 (or something like that) scam, this is the one ke dali..
Its the Nigerians, i've seen them doin it when i was still using internet cafe's...

Just go to any internet cafe around Jozi or whereever there's these Naija's internet cafe's, u'll see 10 or more of them using the internet doin the same thing, sending e-mails to a lot of ppl at one go, you must know its this inheritance *bleep!* they've sent you.. & trust me they jump for joy when you respond cos now they can access your details & everything that's on the net that has ur name...

My father once came back with a printed letter of this, same wording, same everythin as u've said.... sheym iTayma lam, he was soo overthemoon by how abaphantsi have finally looked towards his side (he he he hehe). I told him to tear that thing apart b4 he could actually read it to my mom, told him exactly what it is.. You should have seen the disappointment in his face, sheym uTatam maaani! ..................................Yu mast makh them veeeeeery deynjaras! Naija's no good eth ol...

And if you read the e-mail several times, you will notice some spelling mistakes, like: on (own), threw (through), to (too), of (off)but when you are too,desperate you wont notice a thing.

Hlehle gal,i know a few people who received the same e-mail,responded and after a few responses where told to deposit money into an account so that they can release the millions,i mean in the whole entire world he could not find that person's relative,and lucky for him he came across u,mmmmmm very interesting.So it means u and that dead person are the only one's left sharing the same last name,lol.

Shem ntombi! i also received an e-mail like, they told me to call someone in lagos so that the money can be transferred, then i saw it was a scam, didnt reply. i also played some game of the internet then i was told i won the lottery money $1.7M, they asked me to confirm if i am __________ you know my name. i thot i was rich LOL i confirmed my name via e-mail,then they sent me claim forms, on the claim forms i saw that there was no address their registration number blah blah, i google the name of that agent then i saw it was a scam a whole lot of people received the same e-mail! lol these people are cruel maan! i was ready to go to my boss and tell her to VOETSEK! LOL (i will e-mail you the link where they show you why is it a scam)

Hlehe, I received similar e-mail (a lot) via our organisation's address (we NGO people like to hand out our bus cards like it is candy - bragging and swagging you know... then we have to suffer the consequences) and I just deleted it. But then it got too much and I decided to forward the e-mail to the intelligence branch of our police and I copied it to the person I received it from. It stopped almost immediately.
