On Friday (15 August, 2008) L'Oreal Paris announced that Generations actress Connie Ferguson will be the new official spokes-schmodel for their Garnier Even Perfect range.

Connie, who plays Karabo Moroka on the soapie, began her career as an SABC continuity announcer in the '90's and has had roles in various films and other television series, including Soul City.

Along the way she's been voted one of South Africa's 10 Most Beautiful Women by Cosmo magazine, received a Recognition Award and Certificate of Excellence from the South African Foundation for Excellence and Achievement and was most recently the first black actress to win The SA Crystal Award for Best actress in a soap opera.

This Sonia-Dark n' Lovely-Weave issue came up somewhere, i think on a mag (not sure), someone asked this weave question and Brian Warfield (spelling) explained that the ad is not about the relaxer (cos u can't relax a weave) but rather about hair colour, which doesn't require natural hair only, apparently you can colour a weave (these are not his exact words, but my understanding from his explanation) and that's how she can get away with that weave (and that fat pay cheque).........................
