As from 1 October Ellen changes from being on three times a week to being on every day. New episodes replace Jerry Springer on Tuesdays and Thursdays.

Heroes cheerleader Hayden Panettiere talks with Ellen about her starring role in the series and Lyle Lovett and His Large Band sing a song from his CD, It's Not Big It's Large.
Then the kid inventors are back:
- Haley Powers, a 9-year-old from Goshen, Ohio, will show Ellen his invention - the "Umbrella Backpack"
- 7-year-old Brittany Foster from Henderson, Nevada, will show Ellen his invention, the "E.Z.P" - a device that helps boys keep the toilet seat clean
- - and 9-year-old Bella Prieto from Marlborough, Connecticut, has something special and still-secret to show.

Wednesday, 1 October 2008Vince Vaughn is in to talk about his new film, Fred Claus, then Glenda Smith of Tucson, Arizona, meets Ellen to personally thank her for helping her win a car from her local radio station - DJ's JohnJay and Rich of The JohnJay & Rich Show appear as well.
Then the inventor of the "Bottoms Up Peanut Butter Jar" stops by to show Ellen his invention.
